I just finished reading a romance where the two leads were serial killers. The whole time I was yelling at the book “You are leaving DNA everywhere!! Why did you name your restaurant after your serial killer moniker?? Are you even wearing gloves??”

And you can check out laptops at the library? And there are work study programs to help pay your exorbitant tuition which could not ever possibly be paid with work-study hours?

It’s wild. I didn’t go on any tours when I was younger, but we went with Mickie and it started to feel like colleges are made from cookie cutters

Huge shoutout to everyone this is what a global boycott looks like. Tesla just reported a staggering 71% drop in profits compared to Q1 of 2024. It’s working. Keep the pressure on.

We decided to watch “School of Rock” last night because it has “Minecraft Steve in it” (I know…It is what it is) and I decided to google a bit and, yall, the little singer girl just got married to the big security guard boy /in real life/. She’s a OBGYN sonographer and he’s a music industry lawyer.

Stopped by the Galt booth, a non-profit helping people with disabilities find jobs. Talking with people who understood my neurodivergence & my unique challenges was more emotional than I anticipated. Inclusivity matters. #GaltStaffing #AccelerateConference #WomenImoactTech #SupportMindsOfAllKinds

At the Women Impact Tech Accelerate Conference today. I’ve only been here an hour, have already had a great convo with another woman in tech. So many more to look forward to in my day #WomenInTech #Accelerateconference

I’m also caring for an adult child who’s invisible disability is flaring up so badly he is unable to work or go to school. Which means I’m facing judgement from other parents who have adult kids following the expected paths of abled people. It’s lonely parenting

I seriously just texted my frustrations about having an invisible disability to one of my friends, who has one similar to mine. It’s infuriating, saddening, and makes us a magnet

Grabbed the first of the series, as I haven’t started this one yet. So glad I spent a few months untangling myself from my Kindle dependency, so I could more easily buy direct from you 💜

Had to walk my kid with depression through his shower and tooth brushing yesterday. Mine is currently in remission (thank you meds and therapy), and while I’m grateful I can help him, my heart aches remembering how hard basic things are. I so appreciate your reminders

Very few people can afford to give up their car, and these things are becoming hard to sell. We have to have compassion in all areas if we're protecting each other from what's happening right now

Kid & I were discussing last week, bc we learned some people are leaving abandoning their Teslas in parking lots. How do you have so much money and privilege that you can just abandon a car? Why not give it to someone who needs transport? Or a place that auctions cars to fundraise for non-profits?

The Gorge is trying to put way too much holey plot into my action movie. Set pieces are kinda cool. Creatures are fun. Can’t help but notice she asks him all these questions about himself, and he asks her almost nothing. I could do with less dialogue 😂😂

Group work in school has been shown to be pedagogically unsound unless very specific requirements are met when creating the groups. Requirements that cannot be met in most classrooms, given maturity levels & too few students for wide personality diversity. I’m so sorry your kid is dealing with this.

I don’t read much new adult stuff anymore - well-done stuff reminds me of my kids who are at that age. So I also put it off. It’s good. Gets better as it progresses. I would say her writing and plotting improves the more and more she writes, and you can see that happening in real time in ToG.

I’m doing EMDR work in therapy now, and it is a very delicate process that reconfigures neural pathways. There are a lot of situations in which it can be harmful instead of helpful, and I would be wary of doing any of it in a group scenario. I think people need to be very careful about doing this.
