Yes, house is evenly split and that’s painful. But the leg has the authority to act on both a moratorium and rental assistance. Rs need to see clear examples that this impacts their districts too and not just Mpls.

It won’t be republicans it’ll be landlords and there’s a very bad 8th Circuit opinion so it’ll be struck down quickly. The MN legislature is the entity with authority to do it right now.

Which is one more reason tenants desperately need rental assistance and protections to remain in their homes. Every impacted business means a loss of revenue, jobs, paychecks that are needed to support families and keep them housed.
