I've been to Fernyhalgh. More recently, I visited the Glenridding well a couple of weeks ago along with St Ninian' Well, Brisco in Cumbria (photos in a previous post).

BIG news of the day: in advance of the 2027 relaunch of the revised St Frideswide's Way pilgrimage route, the new SFW map booklet is now out! The SFW is part of the Camino Inglés to Santiago de Santiago and runs between Oxford and Reading where it joins the St James' Way to Southampton. 1/2

During our sojourn in the Scottish borders we also visited a very special holy well. Our Lady's Well at Stow was restored in 2000 but dates to the 5th century (according to Nennius).

Site of the reburied embalmed heart found buried in the Chapter House in a lead container in 1921. Some speculation that it may be the heart of Robert the Bruce though this is debatable.
