It amuses me how my family are both so proud at how much I read but also deeply disappointed. I spent 1 day reading, still went out to a cafe with them and now im being dragged around on deliveries because I "need to go out more" I literally did a 200km, 4 day bike trip last week 😭

The look of respect when the lady at the Indian street food truck asked me what spice level I can tolerate and I said Sichuan spice was fine for me. This was quickly followed by a smirk as she labelled on the spicy/chilli sauce onto my food. The food was amazing!

I became a teacher as a way to try and actually make a difference about the failing climate and social inequalities. Im often really disheartened about if im doing the right thing to help but then days like this happen and I realise this is the best way for me to help make the future better

And another spent 3 days trying to find me to share with me new medical advances she read about because when I had her in semester 1 I was so enthusiastic about how gene therapy and CRISPR could help cure diseases she went down a rabbit hole and now wants to pursue genetic diseases as a career 😭
