BREAKING US Embassy Moscow has issued a health alert. It follows reports of suspected pneumonic plague in Irkutsk, including hospital quarantines and closures. Americans who visited the region should monitor their health. A lab worker at Irkutsk's anti-plague institute has died.

A lovely article on a phenomenal film that's been a constant source of inspiration throughout my entire life! ❤️ There's a loneliness that comes with working on an original project that's conveyed incredibly well here, as well as the importance of inspiration & education alongside the production.

Nick Park spent the '80s making A Grand Day Out mostly alone. It was a school project that got out of hand -- he wanted to quit many times. But Park stuck with it and fulfilled his dream of bringing a cinematic feel to stop motion. We explore: animationobsessive.substack.com/p/wallace-an...

"It’s as if nothing has been learned. Perhaps that’s not surprising. A freedom of information request to NHS England found that, of the tens of thousands of practitioners who would benefit from it, after a year, only 74 had completed the new learning module on ME/CFS guidance." ONLY 74! Shocking!

Why isn’t there a total moratorium on all reporting on Reform until after the multiple investigations into their finances have been completed? Free propaganda for potentially corrupt liars should be banned. It might make them think twice before breaking rules and taking the piss out of all of us.

Lessons to be learned from the FE sector perhaps. Starved of funds since 2010 but now of course central to Burnham's plans for local democracy. "Second chance" often used by the likes of Gove et al to describe the sector says it all really.

What a strange attitude to take. The purpose of government is to govern for the people by the people, not to 'win' (win what?). Government for people is complex and nuanced, it is about serving the needs of everyone fairly and competently. It is not about misusing tax for the benefit of a few.
