FRIENDLY REMINDER, if your opinions or "psychoanalytical takes" about/against a writer or director come from a person who, in a war between studio and artist, smugly supports the studio and calls said studio's closure due to their own hubris "a tragedy," I'm so sorry but please unfollow me.

The comments and other quotes to this post already proves that the rise of post-Whedon nerd culture was a mistake, and it needs to die a most painful death.

"lol Zack Snyder just wants to make everything into Excalibur" - people who clearly don't know how much Kurosawa loved Ford, how much De Palma loves Hitchcock, or how much Carpenter loves Hawks. And oh noes, modern big-budget genre films that genuinely draw from something good!!

Can't wait to see it in the hands of like MKBHD or Mrwhosetheboss, because it's slightly more real-world in nature than this "sleek apple ad" aesthetic.

If the jargon for this glass feature really makes for a creaseless experience, once again, more companies will be able to follow, or find ways to do this. Excited for this.

Apple Pencil use on the foldable, fuck yes (albeit with the caveat of a separate purchase I guess, but wtv).

They're finally teasing the foldable. Can't wait to know how many millions it costs lol. Foldables are such an expensive product already.

Ooh Apple Watch. Will they FINALLY do a round design? Narrator Voice: They did not, in fact, do a round design. So it's like iterative stuff. I mean, sure wtv.

Aw yeah baybee, AirPods in-ears! Easily my favorite tech when I used to be in the Apple smartphone ecosystem. Iconic design. Great for insane shit like live translation too. I will always love that stuff.

Ah. $1299 for a Pro Max, a hundred bucks less for the Pro. The price of a budget cinema camera. I guess that works? For rich people? In an economy where they're the only ones that can afford shit?

#ToxicTheMovie was such a blast on the big-screen, while also somehow doubling as a fascinating experiment in formalist self-critique. Read my review here: cinemaelite.com/review/film/...

Last weekend, for The National News, I reviewed the #Vysakh directed Malayalam-language action thriller #KhalifaTheRuler starring Prithviraj Sukumaran. Had an absolute blast with this slice of old-school, cool-and-clever Archetypal Action Movie-isms: www.thenationalnews.com/arts-culture...

I mean I do still appreciate a lot about the first Shazam so I actually understand where you're coming from. It just hasn't... stuck with me on second watch, and idk if it's because of Levi lol. It's the only Sandberg movie I've seen that didn't get me on a rewatch. Annabelle 2 still my goat 🥹

(One) Ankit Ojha (After Another) @ankitjaiojha.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

This and Aquaman, probably among the more memorable movies not directed by Snyder. Loved Shazam too back then but some of that luster has fallen on rewatch for some reason.

I really didn't know what to expect when I first read the log-line for this movie but this slaps SO hard man. Can't wait for more info on #TheLastPhotograph, while simultaneously hoping I get to see another Zack Snyder movie in cinemas: youtu.be/xmU6LJy2gx0?...

Oh and before I forget, @judysquirrels.bsky.social, I will never EVER think you're a failure, nor does anyone have the right to. The world is on fire and we're all doing our best. And sometimes the best thing to do for ourselves is to reach out for help. I personally need to work on that too lol

If you can, please support her. 2026 is... wild, to be honest, and if there is anyway anyone can contribute, or simply share the post I quoted so it boosts to people who can contribute, that would be super.
