I’ve been to this part of Cologne-Mülheim before but didnt't discover there’s a Glücksburgstraße. It refers to Glücksburg Castle on the shore of the lake where the ruins of the Rüde Monastery are located. You’ll be able to read more about the annals of this monastery in my doctoral thesis.

Still on a fermentation high. Here you can see liquid gold, which will be ready to use in about 4 weeks. Garlic honey. The garlic will be nice and soft and caramelized; use it as regular and honey instead of sugar. And sometimes I like to snack on a clove of garlic. #fermentation #garlic #honey

Finally checked something off my bucket list: the old Berlin city wall from the Middle Ages. There is still a free-standing section from the 13th century on Littenstraße, and remnants of the wall can be found built into houses all around. But not much more than 120 meters seems to have survived.

Today I received a letter and, surprisingly, it contained origami instructions for folding a bird. What a joy, because I've been a big fan of origami since elementary school. A friend of mine told me about tahini matcha latte. We tried it out by mixing my usual matcha latte recipe with a tablespoon of tahini. Was okay, but maybe there's a better recipe out there. I used supermarket matcha, which probably doesn't deserve to be called matcha. #matchalatte #tahini #matcha
