You get the proper singleplayer past Quake fans would want through a new campaign by MachineGames that ties the 3rd game to the last two like before and you get easier server set-up the same way Quake 1 and 2 got with their remasters and it's multiplayer focus is kept intact.

And that's not what any game that fills the role of a remaster is for. I want a complete, definitive, and modern way to play Quake 3 and only Nightdive can make that work. Even with the update, there's still the fucked up scaling when trying to play in windowed mode, the censoring out gibs and textures and unable to modify your frag or time limit in the menu like you could in vanilla Quake 3. Live also excluded some maps from Team Arena. So it's not a real remaster.

It's one thing to not be a fan of how the show ended and you're free to give your critiques. But outright harassing the team that pieced the show together is not at all constructive. It's the literal opposite and it leaves a really bad presidence for media anylizing as a whole.

I think the finale also exposes posers and their selectiveness on whether it matters if they follow the source material. It's never a one side thing.
