The fwd right evacuation slide accidentally deployed on AF1. One of the older VC-25s pulled up as an option, but Trump’s team instead decided he couldn’t admit his shiny new Qatari ~~bribe~~ gift needed maintenance. So they detached the slide and just took off.

Finishing my nth rewatch of Schitts Creek and I think I have a proposed Machete order. S01E01-S06E13-S06E14-S02E02… The idea is to see the scope of the character growth, then go back and see how it happened. Because watching in strict order is hard as you struggle to get to real character growth.

Since Trump’s 2017 tax law cut the corporate tax rate, America's biggest corporations have spent $4.8 trillion on stock buybacks. The top 10 corporations who bought back the most stock spent FIVE TIMES more on stock buybacks than they paid in taxes. This blew my mind.

The House voted 213-214 to kill the War Powers resolution. Two Repubs declined to vote, yet have publicly questioned the war, and one Dem voted against it. Yes the Senate would probably have killed it and Trump would’ve vetoed, but it would have put a line in the sand.

Reading the latest @travisbaldree.bsky.social and I’m struck by the same delight I experienced with @alexwhite.bsky.social ‘s Salvagers series. There’s something really magical about reading an author’s first few books and seeing their them hone their skills as they go. Truly wonderful.
