The department of Homeland Security is complaining about how people with the slightest bit of sanity have been comparing them to the Gestapo. They claim that ICE officers are facing a 413% increase in assaults. Probably because they keep assaulting people.

When I was in Frankfurt last year I came across this skatepark. Lit well into the evening, nestled in between offices and the river. I don't skate anymore myself (the broken bones do add up over the years) but it was a joy to behold. A good city should be this accomodating.

So I finally saw #Supergirl. Speaking as an atypical CIS male... I enjoyed it. It went in directions I didn't always expect (although some of it I did - they are called tropes for a reason) and I thought Jasom Mamoa was fine as Lobo. I do not understand the hate. Perfectly enjoyable movie.

Now that the cost of a gallon of gas is greater than the federal minimum wage you have to start wondering when people who earn only that much and drive more than 30 minutes to work start to stay home instead because it's cheaper. We're not there yet, but we're getting close.
