Its funny I've been a fan of Resident Evil since I was a kid. But I was never a super fan, or even completely follow the storyline. But having basically the entire mainline series available to play on my Switch/S2. I would now call myself a super fan. Wish it was like this for Silent Hill.

Capcom should be making the original version of Code: Veronica available. But they morally should add to that game's content warning in the beginning, that "This game depicts dated tropes and offensive language". For the whole crossdressing villain part of that game.

I feel like if Capcom insists on homogenize the Resident Evil game style of the RE Engine games. Than they really should be making the originals available on all modern platforms. Since they all have their own unique game styles. Preferably make a collection of the original trilogy.

I really wish Capcom would figure out a way to make a Resident Evil that doesn't have a shitty final part. Usually set in a lab/factory/military outpost island. They're always tedious, overly long and the least scary part of the game. And I can understand the scary thing...

I am so excited for that extended film cut of Doctor Who's The Satan Pit storyline. That was the story that really made me a massive Whovian. Big surprise I like when Doctor Who goes horror. And seeing Tennant get into a shouting match with a kaiju sized devil monster is just chefs kiss.

One thing I hope RE9's DLC covers is Zeno. Because it's perplexing to introduce what is quite clearly a clone of the series best and most iconic villian, building up his very Wesker powers and personality. Only to have him killed off by the real final boss.

I typically don't play horror games on the highest difficulty, I can, its a struggle but I can beat them. But I find that the frustration from having to redo parts/fights is a easy way to kill the spooky vibes and fear that I come to horror games for.

One thing I'm surprised about the story in Hellraiser: Revival is how they're taking some elements from the bad Hellraiser movies, but doing them properly. So far they've had the Soul Pillars and a Nightclub like in Hellraiser 3 and an insane Cenobite worshipping cult from Deader.

I wasn't expecting them to take more from Exorcist 3. I'm intrigued, that being said this is a franchise with exactly two good movies, 1 and 3. So I have a level of caution when it comes to new Exorcist movies.

I'm fascinated that a dude read Crossed, was inspired, traveled to another country to make what is essentially a Crossed movie under looser copy write laws (the Sadness) Only for that to impress the actual rights holders and is now directing the Crossed movie with a script by Garth Ennis.

I find the inventory system in Hellraiser: Revival to be interesting. Its s hybrid of both styles of Resident Evil inventory. It's limited in size, with findable pouches for expanding and storage boxes. But its laid out in case style like RE4/Village.

I do find it hilarious that in Hellraiser Revival's accessibility settings there's an option to disable licensed music and its adorable that they think licensed music is the thing thats gonna stop people streaming this game.

The reason I'm so hyped on Hellraiser: Revival. Because I was pissed off when it was announced. I assumed a Switch 2 version was just not going to happen. Especially uncensored or at launch. It looked exactly like a game I'd love, and it turn out as good, if not better than I hope. But here we are.

Ugh I still can't believe how good Hellraiser: Revival is. It is the most ideal version of what a Hellraiser game could be. It knows what things to borrow from other survival horror games, while having its own firm identity and keeping in line with the actual good Hellraiser movies (1 and 2)..

I can not stress how good this game is. Its easily in the top 3 Hellraiser things and plays like a mix of modern Resident Evil and Condemned: Criminal Origin. My only complaint is that lock picking is a little too hard.
