Nothing says "look at us being transparent" more than this; a vaguepost, with replies locked down to only W users (of course), and quote posts disabled because you know, having people defending their points in the replies would just be... no no, we can't have that. W footgunning itself again.

W is currently facing a wave of criticism that mixes false accusations, disinformation, distorted facst with legitimate questions.

Not exactly what I was looking forward to. The problem with a boat that's been on land for a while when it's been exceedingly dry is that when it rains? It turns into a fucking sieve because joints have dried, strategic duct-tape has deteriorated, etc. etc. #weather #fml #boatlife

Halfer position:
Coin is fair. Waking teaches you nothing new—you knew you'd wake. No evidence update. P(Heads)=1/2.

Double-halfer:
Halfer but consistent: even learning "it's Monday" shouldn't change anything. Reject standard conditionalization.

Lewisian thirder:
Credence should count observer-moments. More moments exist in tails-world. Weight accordingly.

The spicy take:

So my PDS (for now) has a Perl based frontend; I've spent some time tinkering on a Go version with a lot of swearing and some Claude assistance. It's not quite "there" yet, but it's got an admin panel now, and ozone label stream integration, and some more anti-spam features...

Nice - I picked up a (I believe, first generation) Cort GB-74 for cheap - I did a little bit of After Dark just for the laughs. Sound levels are fucky, and you can hear a bit of string clack because I need to adjust the truss rod (season changed, etc.) but hey...

Oh we're cooking now! Vortex has been listening to Jetstream for a few hours now and all seems to be going well. Looks like it'll turn out to be about 20Gb of records from the firehose daily, and whatever ends up cached by queries (with an 8hr TTL). The links table is going to just keep growing 1/2

Part-time yeah, I'm on it during spring/summer/fall, it's not super big (8.60m, 28ft) but it works for me alone and also works when my gf comes to visit. Picture included of Shiftwind, the incredibly fun Marlin 860 Grande Croisiere (currently known better as "the hole I keep throwing money into")

The inadvertent nukage of my old #pds did lead to my rather speedy deployment of the new one (because I need my Bluesky fix grrr~), it now runs as a Nomad job, it's also reasonably efficient for a 1-person thing. (For now..., stay tuned).
