Yeah! It works similar to FFXIV's controller support and is laid out pretty much the same, so I haven't had problems with it.

As someone that engages with the end game, basically we clear the tier, do every fight 8 times at the most, then we take off until either the next savage tier or the next ultimate. It's not like WoW where you technically have infinite end game.

People play games for different reasons and I can understand people not wanting to sit through like 800 hours of story. Though I do think it's important to inform end game content focused new players that the game isn't really set up for only doing end game.

My POV on story skippers in ffxiv, is it's cool if you do it but you don't get to really have an opinion on the story. I personally enjoy the story and participate in end game raiding but I've known plenty of raiders that don't engage with the story.

My fav of the Souls games specifically, (not including like, Bloodborne/Sekiro/Elden Ring) would probably have to be DS1 just because I really like the level design and the fact you can parry everything. But DS3 has my fav gameplay.

Also helps that I did the old raids 20 years ago and me and a lot of the people I'll be playing with do savage/ultimate in FFXIV and I don't think vanilla raids are quite as complicated as this.
