First snowfall in Montreal showed up in December. It’s weird that there was no accumulation of snow in November — that’s only happened twice before in recorded history.

A couple of little tweaks coming to Per shortly. Better iOS 18 compatibility is the main attraction here, and I’m dropping support for anything earlier than iOS 17.6 — once I’m happy that everything is still working as expected.

Quiet mornings with Merlin. He’s always extra cuddly while I’m having my first coffee of the day. This is, in fact, a trick; this sneaky little bugger just sets the purrbox to 11 and gives you kitten eyes until he gets his wet food around 6AM. Still, it’s nice.

My favourite Watch face continues to be Explorer. It’s subtle, doesn’t offend too much uh in low-light situations, and lets me keep an eye on key complications (WaterMinder and Pedometer++).

I’m closing out the second week of my four-week “Getting Started” training plan. Today, I did my first long run: 4.4km over 35 minutes is the longest I’ve ever jogged and I feel great. 🙂 I see your likes/faves/comments when I post about these runs and it’s encouraging!

Forest fire-related smog is very bad in Montreal today. Carbon monoxide is at 1500 —300+ is considered hazardous. Our air purifiers are really working hard. 😷
