🧩 Just Finished: Autumn In The Neighborhood…perfect timing—> a cold front has arrived. 💨

Completed jigsaw puzzle 🧩, Autumn In The Neighborhood, with all 1,000 pieces as advertised. A cold front blasted through last night, bringing 45+ mph wind gusts & temps only expected in low 60s today —> a real change! Tomorrow’s morning temp is forecasted to be 49°. I’m not ready for that!

Puzzle box & poster on top of the completed jigsaw puzzle 🧩, Autumn In The Neighborhood.

Close Up: a white kitty, warm & cozy inside by a set of colorful pillows, looking out a window adorned with a holiday wreath.

Close Up: a spitted black & white dog being walked on a leash on a blustery fall afternoon.

I’ve thought often that Jinx has the perfect face for these days & times. She innately sees through all the nonsense & lets us all know it without needing to utter a purr.🐾

I too feel we need to brace ourselves. What an unsettling time we are living in. Really hoping for positive changes so that we can find our way back to decency.

The elephant carrying its dead baby…🥺 and the puma photo have about done me in for the day. Heartbreaking.💔

Too much is what it is. Not a winning strategy, especially to someone like me who is quickly overwhelmed with too many choices. 🤷‍♀️

I’ve been buying 2 bagfuls at Sam’s Club about every couple of weeks for 2nd this now. Not a bad one in the bunch. 🍎🤞

I love this little weirdo - the ears are killing me…they look like mouse ears. I’ve only seen this one … the mom must be around too I think. 🙃

AngelKat @angelkat.bsky.social · 14/10/2026

Same. I have a kit of hers that I need to dive into. I do love her fabrics.

Opossums spielen tot, wenn man sie erschreckt, also funktioniert das zu meinen Gunsten bei dieser kleinen Kreatur. Er/sie ist eher neugierig auf mich als verängstigt, also steht er/sie einfach erstarrt da.

Possum-ey (Skinnerville naming convention). 🤭

Hahahaha. So, I’m not wrong after all, blaming it on the squirrels.

Speaking of Apples…🍎 I just went to put my peels out back for the ‘squirrels’ & lookey what I see! Not a squirrel (for a change). 🤭

Looks like a very young possum enjoying the apple 🍎 peels I left out earlier today. Just went to put another apple’s peels out (9:30PM) and look at this little cutie! I ran inside to get my phone & he/she was still there when I came back out. I thought squirrels were eating them! (I blame the squirrels for everything; I’m usually not wrong). 🤭

A closer view (cropped photo) of the young possum eating my apple peels just now.

Interresting. Honeycrisp are my favorite apples. I’ve been eating 2 a day lately and not a bad one in the bunch. 🍎 I like them because not too sweet … and the texture is really crisp.

My Cats Are Circling…dinner tonight is right up their alley. 🤭

Smoked Rainbow Trout on toasted Ciabatta bread with Lemon 🍋 Caper Sauce drizzled on top. This was excellent (and I’m not a big rainbow trout person). Highly recommend.

I’m enjoying sampling all the Fishwife starter pack goodies I bought on a whim a while back. More to come…

It’s changed so much! I used to live in the boonies here & now it’s all citified…sad really. Used to be surrounded by land, farms. Now all retail and concrete.

📍OK —>Next Steps…fabrics for quilt top inner binding, backing & binding selected today!

Suzanne and I trekked to fabric store today & she selected the fabric on the left for the 1 1/2 inch inner binding on the quilt top. This same fabric will be used for the binding. The fabric on the right will be the quilt backing. It’s going to be really pretty!

I love how your home is full of memories of your well lived lives….in pictures, rugs, mirrors, special things. Having a dad who was in the Army & stationed overseas, I fully appreciate the rugs & what fine pieces of art they are. (P.S. Hoping for no hairballs, sir).

I do love eggplant & will have to try with it. Here’s the sauce I drizzle on generously (I get it at Sam’s Club):

Better than any fast food burger, imo. 😊 And healthier too. For some reason the roasted peppers & onions really make a big difference. And the Kinder’s Teriyaki sauce/glaze is tasty and a little spicy too. I have enough for one more tomorrow. 😊
