in case it's useful to anyone else, i've tossed the spreadsheet template i've been using to track my graphic novel progress in my ko-fi shop! keeps track of deadlines, pages started/finished, & how many pages you should do each day to stay on track. PWYW! ko-fi.com/s/bfcb2f39ff

a promo graphic for a comic progress tracker google sheet template, showing a spreadsheet to track pages started and finished in each step of the comic making process.

the same image, with the spreadsheet slightly edited to have checkboxes instead of inputting the date each step was finished.

nobody's actually watching that new game of thrones show because it's way too late and they missed the memo right or is it actually any good

It's kind of crazy. I realized I've been actually betting on myself for the last ten years and this is the year I'm able to put myself out there BECAUSE of all the work I've done. I had to go through those very hard years to be blossoming like I am.

The largest problem filmmakers have is that they keep trying to write outside their means. That's a problem. It's not just "write what you know" but it's write what you can actually achieve.

I went to a filmmaker networking event last night several people came up to me unprompted and were like YOU'RE THE GIRL WHO SENDS THE EMAILS. I'm gonna cryyyyyy. I'm building community. It's working.

NGL I was kinda excited about going on a second date with this person but he just invited me over for Chinese food and a movie. Meh. I know we're all tired, but c'mon man.

The biggest mistake people in the film industry make is not getting the right team for the project. Make sure you're working with people who you want to spend long hours and stressful moments with.

hey guys if you're bored (or like me, and need background noise to survive) and need to put something on a billion times this weekend, MIGHT I SUGGEST matt damon and ben affleck's new crime thriller on Netflix called The Rip.

constantly baffled by the amount of extra time and energy I've always put into this job when I could presumably just coast apparently

every movie i work on i really am faced evidently with the fact that ppl really do fail upwards very often in this industry and there's such a huge difference in what people provide for their 'standardized' jobs and it is deeply frustrating
