The biggest thing VAR has done for the Premier League is put a spotlight on the terrible officiating its always had. The difference is that VAR is supposed to help fix and avoid those mistakes in the first place. Unfortunately, its the same terrible officials using the tech.

#SNLUK 201 - a quick review: - Too much Goldblum. Less is more when your whole thing is being an oddball, and it detracts from the established cast to centre every sketch on the host. - Fouracres is great. - Weekend Update stole the show with their "his hair shat itself" gag.

I'm not disputing that. Everybody does to some degree. The reason I mentioned Suarez was because he did it consistently anx blatantly enough to be notable for it. Arsenal last season and this are in the same boat. It's a part of both subjects' DNA at this point.

I agree that spending money and making under the table payments are cheating, and not being punished for it doesn't mean it isn't still cheating. The same logic applies for breaking the rules of the game on the pitch. Just because an official doesn't penalise it, doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I understand why Arsenal fans aren't upset at their team's success coming from what the rest of us see as cheating, simply because I never had a problem with Suarez when he played for Liverpool. I don't recall pretending he wasn't a dirty little bastard at the time, though 😄.
