No lie, Jody Allen reincorporating the Seahawks into a publicly owned nonprofit, like the Green Bay Packers, would be such a baller move. I'm pretty sure she would still do just fine, and what a legacy that would set in stone for the entire Allen family.

I can hear this cover in my head. The moment when an entire arena is brought nearly silent only for a few precious seconds before the cacophony rises again to meet the action. Art by Daniel Warren Johnson, a cover for his Do A Powerbomb! serialized OGN.
Back towards us, Cobrasun, a masked Luchador-style wrestler, jumps spread-eagle high in the air off the top of a sporting ring turnbuckle towards his opponent, Lona Steelrose, a junior wrestler standing at ground level, her back against the crowd already having been pushed past the corner of the perimeter fencing around the ring.

One of my all-time favorite films by the Coen Bros. Newly acquired on physical media, because streaming and digital options - while temporarily convenient - are subject to all sorts of legalities and aren't long term options. New motto is: If its worth having, it's worth having a copy you can hold.

What's cooler than Captain America hanging out in Nick Fury's invisible Ferrari?

Indeed.

Going on a John Cassaday deep dive. There was also a Teen Titans Annual, but best soon forgotten that one. These were gold, though.

I wish Richard Corben had been turned loose to play in the Big Two's toy box more. The occasional covers and even fewer full books just weren't enough.
Cable #7 (2008) comic book with a "zombified" Cable variant cover. Artwork is by Richard Corben.

Nice! I recently got his Nausicaa watercolor book and that's almost worth it for his commentary alone. This also just showed up:

And now I know four photos is the max. I also included this Aliens book I had somehow never seen and it's insane pedigree of talent.

Friday night comics. I had a few fun pickups in the last couple weeks. I'm getting closer to finishing my Miller DD run, added another Daniel Warren Johnson mini comic to The Vault, the Japan Book Hunter order arrived with the legit Ikigama Spidey and an early Myazaki book. I dug the new UW, too

Choose 20 comics that have stayed with you or influenced you. One comic per day for 20 days, in no particular order. No explanations, no reviews, just covers. Day 7

Scored a couple good underground books recently. The Rowlf had been on my list for a while, but the D.O.A. was an interesting surprise.
