In 1948, Max Ernst might have invented American Pop-Art's branch that wasn't related to Andy Warhol.

Tchaikovsky out: Ukraine drops Russian imperial composer from top music academy name amid wartime decolonization push - Euromaidan Press
A student-led push succeeded in cutting a Russian imperial label from Kyiv’s main conservatory as Ukraine distances itself from Moscow's influence.

Whatever happened to the oval paintings? Contemporary art is so square.

Gauguin seems to have spent his late years by casting spells instead of sending messages in a bottle.

I spotted the door first. When I came closer and peered through one of the vision panels, I discovered a time capsule. Vienna is full of things like this.

Collages, which I have done today at the Sarabande Foundation's workshop. I always get an inspiration out of their events.

Everyone is aware of Warhol's Marilyn Monroe and cans of soup stuff. How many know that his early Pop-Art was also about a challenging social comment? I saw this massive canvas at the Tate Modern exhibition some years ago. It makes an impact, just like Electric Chair or Silver Car Crash do.

I must had been about 12-years-old when I saw a colour reproduction of this triptych. I would stare at it for hours, trying to comprehend the strange reality within.

In my eyes, the most interesting thing about Jeff Wall at the White Cube, London, is the detail of his Barcelona Pavillon image with the gallery lights embedded into it.

Joe Tilson's oeuvre is not much in the spotlight. He was a little bit like the first ever Earth Day hippie.

Did you notice? Public toilets are this century's photobooths. Colour red makes me think of Antonioni. Fancy shape urinals are the less beautiful Duchamp's works and the massive, imperceptible mirror with something printed on? That is Pistoletto.

The necessity of sticking around.
Still Life photograph depicting a corner of the artist's home desk. Deep navy blue colour is present on the top (fragment of a plastic chair) and the bottom right-hand side (cigarette lighter). Bright electric yellow in the middle of the composition (Stabilo Boss marker highlighter). Greys and silvers pervade. The desk is marbled grey with silver highlights. A closed laptop cover is partly visible in the upper left. Nikon Coolpix 775 and Faber-Castell Castell pencil sharpener add more silver and grey. The black shapes are made of computer mouse, boxed pack of cards, and a screen wipe cloth. One playing card is visible, leaning sideways. It is 7 of Clubs. The 7 of Clubs symbolizes spiritual victory and growth. It represents a quest for higher truth and wisdom. This card is associated with intuition and inspired knowledge. To the left of the photograph, just below the closed laptop, a round-shaped carton beermat is present. Crimson, purple, and gold graphic depicts a young Catholic Bishop. The image represents Green King Brewery's Abbot Ale. In the top right-hand side corner of the photograph, a postcard is visible. It is a funky, pop-artish image. A pinky-grey pencil rubber lies next to the pencil sharpener. On the first plane, next to the computer mouse, Pritt Stick cylinder-shaped paper glue holds the place. It is one of the white accents in this image. There is a folded, used napkin stuck in a small whisky glass, standing next to the edge of the laptop's cover.

I've seen it so many times, and only today, something clicked. The date is 1955. Jasper Johns' creation is like a pop premonition that in ten years' time there will be Fab Four, trapped inside the music industry's management system.

Hallway update. After sixteen years of standing on the floor, my music cassette rack hangs on the wall. I discovered a forgotten tape; a bootleg recording of Physical Graffiti with an artwork by myself.
