If the 47 administration wants people to say SI instead of AI let's have some fun with it and pronounce it "sigh". SI, they're acting weird again.

Last night I dreamt that Wikipedia's list of deaths in 2026 listed Tilly Norwood as deactivated (sadly something that hasn't happened yet). In the dream I was annoyed that they listed a non sentient AI being but also glad she was deactivated and that I had found out from that site.

A note if you're thinking about getting the Marvel Europe trade from 2009: other than profiles in the back, Europe refers to the creators not setting. The 3 reprinted stories take place in Brazil and US.

Unfortunately despite this being satire there's some truth to this. Serious miscalculation to call an election while already fairly unpopular and in the middle of municipal elections.

000

Andy E. Nystrom 🇨🇦 @andy-e-nystrom.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Possibly unpopular take: Intent does matter if someone says something hurtful or prejudicial. Someone who says something without intending harm should be treated differently than someone who's deliberately malicious. I'm on the spectrum so I say this as someone who has experienced unintentional hurt

This is sad to hear. Their specific comment is that the trans lobby is "truth phobic". I guess if the new Harry Potter show uses their signature song we'll know why. Most or all celebrities on Bluesky seem to be decent people but others disappoint.

To have a sound mind you must accepts things that shake your world view once they're proven to be true. I accept that today Mitch McConnell was proven beyond a reasonable doubt to still be alive.

Thinking of it some more, if 47's going to make himself out to be a superhero, in one sense Green Lantern's a good self-own: it's complicated but in the comics Hal Jordan did have relations with an underage fellow Green Lantern (Arisia).

As impressive as it is that the Canadian reaction to Trump has reduced the divide between anglophones and francophones, it's even more impressive that it's resulted in us liking Canada geese more. If the US invades us they'll be ill equipped to handle our avian military.

Saddened to hear of the mass shooting at the Bite of Seattle event at Seattle Center. My US trips are on indefinite pause but people always seemed to have a good time at that event. Wishing both shooters a long prison sentence. Hope the one who's still at large gets caught soon.
