The UK Online Safety act (law) along with their Snoopers charter & some other laws are Orwellian to say the least. I'm thankful that I have at least some tech knowledge and intellect that elevates me above the sheeple that would usually sit there and bend over for any political party rhetoric!

The Online Safety Act is a hot mess 🥴 Drunk on boarding up more of the Internet than even the government's paedo test could justify. Pushing teens into riskier stuff online, enabling scammers and walking off with your ID. Tell your MP to sort it out! ⬇️ action.openrightsgroup.org/tell-your-mp...

Tell your MP: The Online Safety Act isn’t working

What's the problem? The Online Safety Act has been a disaster. Rather than protect children, millions of adults are facing widespread censorship, and teenagers are having their freedom of expression…

Teens are left in the dark when it comes to getting support or news online. Adults have to stay in the soft play area unless they scatter their ID or biometrics across the Internet. The Online Safety Act is a shoddy law. Tell your MP it’s gotta change ⬇️ action.openrightsgroup.org/tell-your-mp...

ARISS - Amateur Radio on the International Space Station @arissintl.bsky.social · 24/07/2025

The installation of HamTV is on the ISS work schedule for next week. Successful completion could mean test transmissions going out beginning on Tuesday. Check the graphic for more info.

The image shows a HamTV unit, part of the amateur television system on the ISS, with a schedule for installation on Tue, 29-July, from 07:55 to 09:55 UTC (3:55 to 5:55 AM ET). A successful install should have the unit active and transmitting a carrier. Reception reports are requested via social media. HamTV uses MPEG-2 video with DVB-S protocol, transmitting on 2395 MHz (2.395 GHz), primarily for educational contacts. More info is available on the BATC wiki, ARISS discussion, Discord, and live feed when available. (2014 NASA photo of the HamTV unit in the ISS Columbus module.)

Two Turkish scammers tried a Group SMS scam on me today, didn't bode well for them! Never send a scam message to a techie, especially one who knows Kali, telecommunications and Tor!

Wonder how many of my furry followers would enjoy this ASCII art. ASCII art being quite a cool art form even when I was a kid.

I goat asked the other day: "Why make the old school BBS/IRC etc, wouldn't it be better making newer social media?" My answer was: "Without a working version of the older systems, how can people make newer ones?" Plus the old stuff was and still can be way cooler than the new.

So, I've been a busy little keyboard jockey as of late. BBS, IRC & citadel server all set up, domains and all. Just need to finish my PBX before I release the details. Who knows, may put it on my webpage as a puzzle for the Tech geeks to unravel.

This cluster is now running my pds docker (which gives me the custom blue sky domain) along with my IRC server, and within the next few weeks maybe a BBS server, web server and VPN server. Just need a few more raspberries to finish other projects.

My pi cluster when it was being built. I now use the lower one as a Vpn/webserver to allow me to access my network and NAS-D while I'm outside of home, (I do have a static IP provided by my isp). The top pi is used primarily for my BBS/IRC servers which are currently down for maintenance.

4 more spam bots followed me, all reported now I'm naming and shaming!! Maybe these little bot accounts need a bit of a good shaming, especially as I'm a bit of a cyber security nut with a few skills up my sleeves.

@moderation.bsky.app check out these 4 bot accounts that just followed me within 30 seconds of each other. All bot accounts use the same "getallmylinks.com" affiliate link. Might be worth adding the getallmylinks.com site blacklisted, as I get far too many following with the same bio.

The new class 777's for merseyrail. I do kind of.like these new trains, although going to mis the 507/508 class trains as they have been around since I was a kid. Just wondering how to get a few bits off one as souvenirs?
