Over 6000 people in some of our lowest-income areas saw improvements to their rented properties and were signposted to further welfare support. 85% of properties inspected were found to be non-compliant - proving how essential these schemes are. www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/2495199...

The government announced this week that it has tripled emergency funding for councils to tackle rough sleeping and emergency homelessness - and Leeds will receive £626,206. This is very welcome, to strengthen our service and the strong partnerships that we have in Leeds delivering this support.

It was good (if cold) to help Cllr Andrew Scopes and Angela Gabriel remove the poppy decorations from the cemetery this morning. It takes a lot of work to maintain these and put them up each year for Remembrance, so volunteers are always welcome. Please get in touch if you can help next year.
