Small Prophets is a low-key show, but one that is also extremely strong in basically every regard, with an excellent supporting cast, just the right amount of mystery, and the perfect mix of sweet and silly tones. Read our review from @andrewrweb.bsky.social:

I think The Social Reckoning will be a useful recollection of events for people who didn't follow Haugen's story and the WSJ's reporting in real time. But the film doesn't really work as an entertaining thriller or a revelatory critique of Zuckerberg and Meta. My review:

I argued that the Oldest House was almost the morally wrong setting to put Dylan through (again) and we all know why - on an unrelated note, I hope Casper Darling is suffering in a crappy dimension

Control Resonant Made The Right Choice Leaving The Oldest House Behind
Some players wish Remedy's new action sequel had retained its predecessor's famous setting, but that would have been the wrong choice for this story

wrote about gears of war: e-day, which is the epitome of a dumb action game (complimentary). just look at this dialogue: www.theverge.com/games/100276...
The amount of ridiculous one-liners in the game approaches an art form, with pivotal moments punctuated by lines like “A giant floating ballsack with glowing eyes is trying to kill us!” or “Hold on to your dicks!” The true spiritual energy of E-Day can be found in its barks, those lines tossed out by Marcus and his comrades as they mow down alien bad guys. Here are a few examples:

“Too ugly to live.”
“Where are you going? I thought you wanted some of this.”
“Rest in pieces.”
“It ain’t your day, asshole.”
“Looks dead to me.”
“Lights out, fuckface.”
“How do you like that, you stupid-ass spider bitch?”

Spent a lot of this past week hanging out in Pokémon card scalping Discords to learn about how and why resellers became so focused on this specific franchise. Pokémon's popularity is part of it, but it also has a lot to do with the evolution of the creator economy

Three panel comic. Panel 1: a guy is putting on his jacket, getting ready to leave his apartment. He says, “gonna go get some ice cream.” Panel 2: the guy peeks around a corner into another room in his apartment. In the room, there is a monkey with glowing eyes floating in a large, shimmering, blue tube and some unusual technology lining the walls. The guy asks, “you want anything, omniscient monkey in hypersleep?” Panel 3: answering his own question, the guy scoffs, “psh! Duh… banana flavor.”
