Sick and tired of Unison Audio's relentless and aggressive advertising on YouTube. Just hoping this works. If I hear, "the chords are MADE FOR YOU!" once more I'm either going to cry or break something!

Just been to the same showing. What a well-behaved audience too! In the parts that were silent, you could have heard a pin drop. Amazing experience :)

Sticky knobs begone! My Microbrute is looking like new again thanks to lots of IPA and 1.5 hours of elbow grease. :)

Hi @sykuro42.bsky.social! That's absolutely fine by me but I think you'd also need to check with @hexler.bsky.social. I made it as a special commission to them so strictly speaking the layout belongs to them not me. I'd be very interested to see your work though when it's done. :)

My Bluesky feed is mainly full of gaming (video, board and card games) and politics. I'm forever trying to work out whether a post mentioning MTG is about Magic The Gathering or Marjorie Taylor Greene!

This and 'Cradle to the Grave' are timeless epics! I've seen literally hundreds of live bands over the years but a Subhumans gig in a dingy basement bar in Sheffield (Casbah) for about 40 people still remains my favourite.

Pretty impressed with Ableton Live 12.3's stem separation so far. Much clearer results than RipX and Traktor's stem separation. A massively welcomed addition and they seem to have really nailed it! :)

Hey math_feels_! At the moment, no, unfortunately. It's because jogwheels don't transmit MIDI in quite the same way as a dial/fader controller. I'm working on a new version though which does allow jog and DVS control. DM or email me (mail@andrewnorris.uk) and I'll send you a prototype. :)

Mark E Smith from The Fall once mouthed, “Fuck off” at me through a pub window. Fair play though, he was just sat enjoying a quiet drink as I was passing on the street, pointing at him and jumping up and down, excitedly telling my mate, “Look, there’s Mark E Smith!!”

Doom E1M3 on a pair of monome grids, by way of #maxmsp. The grid display you see here is laggy bc I’m sending the camera over wifi, but irl there’s no noticeable lag. Not sure why I’m getting those little flashes on the 256.

Helping out an old friend today who doesn’t do computers to sell some of his vinyl LPs on eBay. Among them was the picture disc of this (which I haven't heard since the mid '90s). Terrible movie as I recall but, oh my word, what a soundtrack! Absolute banger! www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5U2...

Glad to hear that it's working as it should! :) When I tested it earlier I was using USB and everything was fine, so I'm guessing you should be OK. If it's something you find yourself using a lot, the latest TouchOSC is well worth the upgrade, btw. :)

000

Andrew Norris @andrewnorris.uk · 29/01/2025

Yeah, that is odd! All working now though?

100

Andrew Norris @andrewnorris.uk · 29/01/2025

Yeah, I'm guessing this is because Play/Pause is a toggle but most other buttons are momentary. So it's getting 'stuck' when there's a double message.

000

Andrew Norris @andrewnorris.uk · 29/01/2025

Hmm... yeah, that's very strange! I wonder if you're somehow 'connected' more than once, maybe? Dunno, not sure if this is even possible but are you connecting through USB *and* Wi-Fi at the same time? Might explain the double messages?...

000

Andrew Norris @andrewnorris.uk · 29/01/2025

Hmm, strange... not sure, tbh. It's been a while since I used it but I loaded the v1.1 TSI just now and everything seemed to work fine. Have you tried re-importing the TSI?

Piano roll of “Laura Palmer’s Theme” from Twin Peaks. The visual representation of two mountain peaks in the music was a “cosmic” coincidence which shocked both Lynch and Badalamenti when they discovered it

I don't generally get upset at the death of a celebrity. David Lynch is one of the very few exceptions to this. Always loved his work and he'll be very sadly missed. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
