Bluesky is winning because both twitter and threads have gone out of their way to make their platforms inhospitable to reputable journalists and news. @kattenbarge.bsky.social reports: www.nbcnews.com/tech/social-...

Journalists flock to Bluesky as X becomes increasingly 'toxic'

Journalists are finding more readers and less hate on Bluesky than on the platform they used to know as Twitter.

It's just pure hatred. Meanwhile, Dems are acting like this is about sports. More than 15k active duty troops could be immediately discharged. They could immediately lose all veterans and GI benefits depending on how they're discharged.

"If a woman doesn't look woman enough to a Republican, they want to be able to inspect your genitals to use a bathroom? It's disgusting. Everyone should reject it completely... they're endangering women, they're endangering girls of all kind, and everyone should reject it. It's gross." - AOC

The ban on trans people in bathrooms doesn't just apply to Sarah McBride, it also applies to staffers. There are multiple trans staffers in congress and this would essentially force them out. Many are not out to their colleagues either.

Sarah McBride was elected as the first transgender representative and now Republicans trying to ban her from the bathroom.

Rep Nancy Mace wants provision included in next House rules package"

I would like to speak up today for the trans community. You see, I know a bit of what it’s like to be politically scapegoated. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, suddenly anyone in America who had any amount of Japanese ancestry became suspect. Politicians preyed upon ignorance and fear. /1

I think all of us should spend five minutes doing this each day: 👉 Search Bluesky for “first post” 👉 Filter by “latest” 👉 Like and welcome at least 10 new people It makes a big difference and it could just make you a new friend! #FirstPostChallenge

I think my personality here is just going to be Otto content. Here’s an accurate representation of our power dynamic.

Everything feels better about this (not so) little place. Better algorithm, better vibes, better safety measures, better pets in-posts ratio…
