Andrew Mason @andrewm.codes · 4hI have good news and bad news. The good news is that I am not a loser. 😂 111
Andrew Mason @andrewm.codes · 29/09/2026Apparently there is a diagram in the printed version that helps simplify it but I can't find it atm. A few people on Reddit have done mappings, though they make it a little more complicated than it needs to be imo. www.reddit.com/r/DungeonCra...reddit.comFrom the DungeonCrawlerCarl community on Reddit: Making a Definitive Map of the Iron Tangle || The final rendition. Andrew Mason @andrewm.codes · 16/09/2026that's why squash merging is the way™️ I'll stand on that till death. 110
Andrew Mason @andrewm.codes · 16/09/2026Exactly. I'd much rather spend 30 seconds writing a useful squash commit while the context is fresh than reconstruct the change later when I'm cutting a release. 110
Andrew Mason @andrewm.codes · 16/09/2026I always squash merge so I make sure the commit messages are optimized for the changelog so I ship as-is. If something does need to change, I will edit it as needed. Does that help? 110

Andrew Mason @andrewm.codes · 16/09/2026New post: I added webmentions to my Bridgetown site. Replies, likes, and reposts from Bluesky can now show up directly under the original post. No comment system, no JavaScript widget, and the site stays completely static. Andrew Mason @andrewm.codes · 12/09/2026I exported all 358 of my Pieces code snippets into Obsidian. I wrote up how I built the exporter, including the raw archive, normalization layer, deterministic filenames, metadata cleanup, SHA-256 verification, and the weird edge cases. andrewm.codes/p/exporting-...andrewm.codesExporting my Pieces code snippets to ObsidianPieces put memories behind a paid plan, so I pulled 358 saved snippets out of its local API and turned them into plain Markdown I own. 121

Andrew Mason @andrewm.codes · 04/09/2026Got to interview @rmcastil.bsky.social on #RemoteRuby today. The first time I met Ryan, my Uber was taking me to the wrong LA airport and he and Mike Buckbee immediately offered me a seat in their Uber. Nearly missed my flight but somehow ended up with one of my favorite Ruby memories. 150

Andrew Mason @andrewm.codes · 22/08/2026I'm mostly a nonfiction reader, but I fell in love with Dungeon Crawler Carl and ended up listening to the entire series. For fiction, I seem to gravitate toward fast pacing, constant escalation, psychological thrillers, dark subject matter, science fantasy, apocalyptic sci-fi, and suspense. 100
