Ooo! Have you read "The Marvel"? That's how I first learned about him. If you haven't read it, I recommend it. It's been long out of print, but a great comic.

Cover of The Marvel: A Biography of Jack Parsons. By Richard S. Carbonneau and Robin Simon NG.

The birth scene quoting "An Analysis by a Master of the Temple by Jack Parsons". The image is difficult to transcribe, but there is a woman tossing her newborn in the air. There are rockets blasting off in the background. There is a hydra, a tiger, a goat and a chalise.

Jack Parsons announces the angels around him: Raphael, Gabriel, Michael and Auriel.

Jack Parsons appears as the Antichrist to Jack the writer.

Show me a comic page you love; no explanation needed.

Page from the short comic, "MASTER RACE" by Bernie Krigstein & Al Feldstein in Impact #1, EC Comics, USA, April 1955.

It's a single page that goes in slow motion through several panels showing a former Nazi concentration camp guard in hiding, who was being chased by a survivor in black, falls onto the tracks of a subway train and being run over. A bystander asks the survivor what happened. The survivor says what happened and he has never seen him before. "He was a perfect stranger."

Spider Island. It came out right after I started seriously reading comics, and I had a blast reading all of it. (I should reread it.) I also think about Final Crisis all the time. I haven't found a crossover comic that's really hyped me up yet, unless we're talking Amalgam's Spider-Boy.

Back in my day, we didn't have the internet. The only way you could express that you had an attitude and weren't to be messed with was by your Big Dog shirt.
