My HB 36 has gone into law!This bill ends an incredibly dark period in Alaska history where foster children ended up in psychiatric facilities for sometimes months at a time when they didn’t need to be there. Now, they get a hearing within 7 calendar days. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

My bill allowing for municipalities to implement 5 new optional property tax exemptions (HB 13) became law on Monday. This bill provides tools for expanding the supply of available homes, reducing costs, and improving quality. I was elected to address housing & homelessness concerns. I am doing it.

Today, on a unanimous vote, the Alaska House passed my bill HB 101 raising the age of sexual consent from 16 to 18. This monumental change in our laws prevents predators from targeting young people. HB 101 protects 16- & 17-year-olds from sexual assault & trafficking. #akleg
