Publishing & academics are in too large part about money & prestige and too little about integrity. The pandemic has fueled a faster change in the wrong direction as many have sought to profit in money & prestige. I think it is not just academics either. The pendulum needs to swing back soon.

The picture shows an image of a manuscript pointing how airborne and foodborne transmission combined can accelerate viral spreading to more people. Plus, we have limited technologies exist to detect viral presence in food.
