Everyone knows FB and messenger are down. It stands to reason that IG and Whatsapp are also down - they are owned by FB. How many of you knew that Fidelity Investments, a financial group which is a majority owner of Meta, is also down? What's more: All of their Downdetector pages went 404.

"Hunter Biden's Laptop" was only a thing because "But Her Emails" worked. People thought "But Her Emails" was about security. They assume this text will amount to anything. The problem is that "Emails" was never the operative word for the anti-Hillary Clinton cry. The operative word was "Her."

What do you consider to be "On the Road?" I consider it to mean the vehicle is packed and moving. The way to the gas station for road snacks and first fuel is still on the road. My partner says you aren't "On the Road" until you have gotten your snack and gas, and you are on the highway.

While not specifically illegal to ask, the ADEA protects applicants from age discrimination, which often means asking an applicant's age is also asking for a lawsuit.

Very commonly these profiles will complain about "application boxes" or "application questions" that ask if you are over 40 or over 50, and I have NEVER seen any age question other than standard over 16 or over 18 for legal ability to perform job functions.

I've been trying to be more active on LinkedIn during my job search. One thing I have come across time and again is people over 50 complaining about ageism, and their profiles often also have posts complaining about having to learn new programs and procedures in their fields.

I'm also not Christian, the study of world religions was just one of my undergrad majors. I got REALLY into comparing theological interpretations from translation choices. We had a section in one class on comparing translations of the Rigveda, also.

Fair. I should read more translations from source cultures. Perhaps it is more tied to the philosophical angst. IIRC it would fit more if the concept were the mind turning to that part of existence in which we acknowledge that we are finite. But I don't have your level of philosophical education.

Can I ask what translation you are using? I've seen it translated as, "Happy is the man who is always reverent," and, "Blessed is he who fears the Lord," but this is an interesting interpretation. Also, definitely not one to defend the Bible, I just REALLY get into translation styles and influences.

I am not religious, but much of my education has examined the concept of faith of one sort or another. Thoughts of a higher being or afterlife often take an apatheistic note in my mind. It doesn't matter if a higher power exists, because a reward shouldn't be necessary for compassion.

I've said this on every copy/paste of this post I come across. Research shows no cognitive difference between reading a text and listening to the same story on audiobook. It is the same cognitive experience, and splitting hairs on phenomenological experience does not change that.
