My care team was so sweet and made me feel comfortable, even if the genital exam portion where they took pics was a lil awkward haha. Now it’s REAL! We’re doing it! I’m so happy, this was the best possible outcome today.

I had my bottom surgery consult today. Omg y’all. I’m cleared for surgical scheduling! Turns out my home scale is off and I’m 68 inches so I cleared the BMI requirement ALREADY. Clocked in at 230lbs making the bmi 34.9, just under the 35 limit. I should have my surgical date in about 2 weeks. *wags*

Lesson learned: never trade in an Apple device in the mail. Just go to the Apple Store and do it in person. The amount of bullshit I’m going through is wild. Every Apple rep I speak to is going “wtf, that’s wild, but I don’t have to power to correct it, let me escalate to a nameless supervisor”

Wife has a Fold8 and I’m in love with the passport form factor. Apple’s team marked my tablet as cracked/damaged when the photos they took showed no damage to the device. Their re-review was not in my favor. I’m waiting for a supervisor to call me back to dispute. I took a vid of me packing it up.

I’m having a terrible time trading in my iPad through apple’s trade in program. I regret sending it in, they are trying to screw me over. :( I was going to upgrade to the Duo, but now I’m frustrated enough to consider going back to android and getting the fold 8 instead. I hope they make it right.

Part of me hopes I can show my spreadsheet and be like….it’s happening soon. Plus they don’t schedule surgeries any sooner than a year out. But hospitals are dumb like that, I’m preparing for a temporary road block. This is my foot in the door tho! Still going to go and see what happens.

Down to 234 lbs. Been tracking a 5000-5500 calorie weekly deficit so about 1.5lbs a week of fat. Unfortunately not going to be walking into my consult Monday below the bmi of 35, but I’m only 11 lbs off. Tracking to be under 35 by early/mid Nov. I hope it’s not a show stopper, it is what it is.

It’s surreal talking about it like it is happening, I never thought I’d be in this position. It’s a little scary, exciting, interesting, nerve-wracking, makes me feel so good inside, feels like seeing sunlight at the end of a long tunnel. I’m nervous about recovery, but also looking forward to it.

We’re talking about prep more seriously now that the consult is scheduled. Once downstairs, the bathroom/shower/bed is within 15 steps of each other, but getting down there day 3-5 post op might be a struggle. Twitchy is going to come to my consult with me, we are putting together questions for it

Now that twitchy and I are thinking more about surgical logistics, we’re thinking it might be best if I spend the first two weeks post op at a hotel to avoid the issues associated with the stairs on the boat. Afterwards I think it should be okay to get down the steps to the master cabin.

Puppy gumbo!!!!! Substituted rice for roasted veggies and it makes it sooo much less calorie intensive. Made a big batch and have enough for another dinner worth! So yummy.

OMG! The OG surgeron I wanted to go with had a 9-12 month wait for the consult, but I was checking the portal randomly & saw a cancellation slot for next Monday!!! I took it sooooo fast! So!! Bottom surgery consult next week! Already down 5lbs from my last appt in Aug, so making progress on weight!

Working with my social worker to get my consult actually scheduled, but I got all the pre-req paperwork sorted. Lead time for the consult for the surgeron I’m going with is 3-6 months so I’m going to GRIND in the meantime.

Just got my clearance to schedule my vulvoplasty consult! I also finally learned about the BMI requirements. I need to get mine below 35, and I’m currently at 37.5. I’m going to kick up the dieting and working out and I think I can safely lose the 15 pounds needed by Jan 1st. I’m GUNNA do it. 💪🏻

We installed a water maker! It pulls seawater and converts it into water safe for drinking/use & puts it in our tank. Most marinas turn off reg water access during winter due to the risk of freezing. Last year we had to fill our tanks weekly via a underwater hose, no issue with that this year! wags

It’s that time of year again - filling up for diesel for heat in the winter. Ended up putting in 357 gallons. The fuel dock kid dropped his phone in the water while we were fueling so @twitchy.bsky.social got the scuba gear, dove, and found it! It still worked! Got $40 off fuel for that one. 🤣

Tomorrow we gotta fill up the boat with fuel for the winter as we use it for heat. Last winter it was $3.58/g for diesel and this year it’s $5.89. We need to take on at least 400 gallons. We own a yacht but we don’t make yacht money, this suuuucks. It’s only expected to get more $$$, gotta do it now

Fuck yes! Just confirmed all pre-req paperwork has been sent to the surgeon office for my bottom surgery consult. Just gotta wait the up to 3 weeks for them to process it and then I can make my appt. Working hard dieting/working out to drop my BMI level 1-2 numbers in prep. 4 weeks sober from weed!

Being said - I still care a lot for my furry friends. Like a lot, a lot. I still love giving back to the furry community since that was a big part of my early adulthood and had a major impact on who I am today. It’s just a label imo. Doesn’t change much. I was puppy 10 yrs ago, I still puppy today.

The furry community isn’t the same as it was when I was 18-25. The community used to feel close-knit, but it’s gotten so divisive in recent years. I don’t really consider myself a furry anymore, I identify instead as a therian/pet player. I’ve kinda felt this way for a few years now, I suppose.

We have fiberglass repair work needing to be done from ice damage last winter season too. Out Bimini was destroyed in a microburst last month - we have the fabric to make a new one. Living on a yacht requires a lot of sweat equity, we’ve been putting a lot of this off this summer. Time to catch up.

Lots of boating projects on the list! We need to do some engine maintenance, fix up our tanks with diesel for heating this winter, finish installing our new water maker for this season. Twitchy wants to find an incinerator toilet to prevent us from having to do any sort of pump outs this winter.

I’m excited to be over summer soon. Fall is my favorite season. I get to open the boat up to the cool breeze, get my pumpkin spice fix often, the colors on the trees look so pretty. Twitchy & I did a lil trip back to NJ this weekend with some friends from camp crucible. Hit up big snow again and I finally got to hit up some of the coasters! It was a lot of fun! We’re finally back to the boat and I’m very excited to sleep in for the first time in almost 3 weeks tomorrow! *wags*

I DO really want to say - this is my 6th year as a Megaplex staff member. Sometimes staffing can be a thankless job at times, but that was NOT the case with our community. I have never felt so appreciated. The community made sure to lift us up and ensure we were taken care of, as we did for them.
