Glad you enjoyed it! She’s going to be great.

True, though I’d rather have more of a masher at DH than Kerry.

Love Carpenter, but outfield is, for once, not an area of need IMO. Would rather deal him for an infielder if they’re going to trade him.

I just love how people think they can “swiper no swiping” Trump. Whether or not the public agrees he has a mandate, he’s gonna do whatever the hell he wants.

Don’t forget that in December of last year, Fangraphs Roster Resource had Taylor Trammell and Cade Marlowe hitting 4-5 in the lineup. They’re not just gonna roll into 2025 without a third baseman.

Very funny that he picked the time period where everyone revered him as a god as the “good” times and the time period when everyone realized he was a hack as the “bad” times

Everyone please just take a breath and wait to see what the Mariners actually do.

Harassment, racism, and engagement farming are not “a difference of opinion.” Had a chance to talk about BlueSky on Pablo’s pod—and why the echo chamber argument mischaracterizes what’s actually going on. 📺: youtu.be/DFBlec2Exrw?...

Illinois Senator Dick Durbin introduced the Fair Ball Act which, if passed, would make minor league players subject to minimum wage and overtime laws if players lacked a collective bargaining agreement. More details ⤵️ www.nytimes.com/athletic/593...

I wouldn’t bet on it just based on track record, but who am I to question ZiPS?

There’s one Rouge level on Sonic Adventure 2 Battle that has zero business being as hard as it is. They give you 5 minutes to find 3 emeralds in a prison and you basically need to get insanely lucky to pass it. It took me like a month to beat as a kid.

Yeah I think it’s totally reasonable to be skeptical of any offensive player signing with Seattle for that purpose. My only hope is that maybe a Korean player wants to stay on the west coast and that means fewer options where he has assured playing time?

120

Anders Jorstad @andersjorstad.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

I’ve wanted him in Seattle for years…c’mon Jerry!

110

Anders Jorstad @andersjorstad.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

Assuming they have someone else knocking the door down at 2B, totally. But I wonder if they’d try him at 3B too. Plus, there’s always injuries. I’m sure they’d be able to find room for him regardless.

110

Anders Jorstad @andersjorstad.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

I could see 1 year and an incentive-laden option working out. Agree that I’m concerned about JP, though not sure the Mariners share my concern

010

Anders Jorstad @andersjorstad.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

If the Mariners are willing to pay for him, Kim is the perfect fit at 2B. They need a one-year option until Cole Young is ready, and Kim probably only wants to sign a one-year prove-it deal. Let him have a great year and cash in next winter.

Hi everyone. The Onion, with the help of the Sandy Hook families, has purchased InfoWars. We are planning on making it a very funny, very stupid website. We have retained the services of some Onion and Clickhole Hall of Famers to pull this off. I can't wait to show you what we have cooked up.

The Onion Buys Alex Jones’s Infowars Out of Bankruptcy

The satirical news site planned to turn Infowars into a parody of itself, mocking “weird internet personalities” who peddle conspiracy theories and health supplements.

Do the Angels know there are four months left in the offseason?

Anders Jorstad @andersjorstad.bsky.social · 13/11/2024

I will accept Moncada as a 2B stopgap (add to the pile with Bliss, Moore, Rojas until Young is ready), but not as the answer at 3B.

040

Anders Jorstad @andersjorstad.bsky.social · 13/11/2024

I’d far prefer Bohm between the two. My two 3B targets this winter would be Ke’Bryan Hayes and Coby Mayo.

010

Anders Jorstad @andersjorstad.bsky.social · 13/11/2024

If the Mariners managed to sign Roki Sasaki (BIG “if”), I could see this being the play: 1. Trade Luis Castillo (offload some salary, get a young interesting 3B/DH type in return) 2. Use the salary savings to extend one of Gilbert/Kirby/Raleigh
