Was kind of shocked to go back to The Office and realize that half the jokes are just "wow they're so racist haha", "wow this is so homophobic lolll", and so on

I mean you also stripped autism funding, and made it impossible for people in car accidents to get ongoing medical care. It's messed up that one of the key promises you could make is to undo the things you've already done.

You deserve to take a year off after this. Maybe travel a bit.

Amazing that they found a way to address the drug crisis that provides zero support for the people struggling, but also provides an excuse to hire more cops. Truly visionary.

It's actually a perfect time to call an election, if everyone hates you, but you're still one of the least worst options, and your opponents keep stepping on rakes like it's their day job

Alberta First Nation invokes treaty clause to set up gender-affirming care safe haven | Globalnews.ca

"The First Nation has invoked the 'medicine chest clause' provision from the treaty signed in 1876, which Indigenous Peoples interpret as a promise to provide comprehensive health care. 'All children, including trans and two-spirit children and their family, will have safety under our treaty.'"

Saddle Lake Cree Nation says it aims to defy Premier Danielle Smith’s government by establishing a safe haven for gender-affirming medical care — contrary to provincial law.

As a parent of a trans kiddo - medical care for trans care is clear, has medical recommendations, and does not need you sticking your nose into the business. The only debate is an existential one. Either you support trans people, or you think they don't deserve to exist. Everything else is noise.

It's an annoying first few days, but once you've reinstalled everything and given them their permissions back, it's smooth sailing, just feels like Android again

Chris Kluwe @chriswarcraft.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Yes! The first thing I did was install the Play Store, and redownloaded all the apps I wanted. Every single one has worked except my pharmacy's weird app. But sometimes you run an app for the first time and it just closes again, so you have to go into its settings and turn on a bunch of permissions

There’s such an easy answer to this “gotcha” question and it’s “Sports are inherently unsafe and unfair and it’s ridiculous to single out trans athletes when we allow 150 pound linebackers to go up against 260 pound linemen in freshman football on a daily basis. Let kids play with their friends.”

It's still Android, just with all the Google stuff ripped out by default and a bunch of added security measures. A few downsides, you can't tap-to-pay anymore, and now I can't use Chromecast. But everything else has worked, sometimes after changing a few settings. It's...fine?

My phone died a few weeks ago -- now that the Pixel 11 is out, I managed to pick up a Pixel 10 for extremely cheap (~$200), and immediately replaced the OS with GrapheneOS. It's a bit of a pain at first, but it means a totally AI-free (and Google-free, if you want) phone

I think they're confusing "blogs" with what happened with, like, recipe sites, where meaningless personal ramblings were added to help with SEO. Sure, that was slop-adjacent. But those were never blogs, those were never podcasts, that was never wikipedia.

On mobile you can only search subject lines in Proton Mail, even in the web client. And Thunderbird is a workaround, but only on desktop, no third-party clients work on mobile

100

The funny thing is that this whole theory has been disproven so many times. Oppressed people don't want to oppress; they want to not be oppressed. Just because you're a shitty person who wants to oppress people doesn't mean that anyone else in your position would ever want to do the same.

051

"The apps don't have these features, but you can use the web clients!" - Proton oh but if you're on mobile you still can't search mail lol And even on web clients, on desktop, there are major features missing. Like, you can duplicate calendar events -- but not if it's from a synced calendar

100

And I understand WHY -- privacy! but in the name of all that is holy this stuff should have been figured out before any of these products even made it to beta. They're not even particularly complicated problems, I could hack solutions together myself if I had a few spare days.

100

Everything looked so good on paper. I even signed up for an annual family subscription. Now, there's a really good chance I'll refund everything -- can't search email, can't search the calendar, can't copy events, there are SO MANY basic features that just don't exist

100

Remember a few decades ago when you couldn't search your emails? No? That's because every mail client ever has had a search function, it's one of the most basic and fundamental features. On an unrelated note, what the hell, @proton.me
