Watched a YT short about the #Strixhaven codex bundle and the dude said "...unlike some PAST special bundles," and was talking about the TMNT Pizza Bundle which is still a full week away from release. It was diabolical and super indicative of the product onslaught hellscape WotC has put us in. #mtg

And the fact that the precon, down to having this art style on the box doesn't include this card treatment, even in a premium sealed product format is pretty atrocious. They're exorbitantly overpriced and difficult to pull. Would've paid a 15-20 extra for a premium precon @magic.wizards.com

Why is this pos taking up a rare slot in my packs? It's crazy how small this set is and yet how many of the other rares and ucs have been nearly impossible to pull. I hate this card more than I can express. #mtg #tmnt #wotc

While digging around and thinking about Ivy conceptually decided to make a homebrew creature card. I'm slowly trying to make them a little more balanced but still open to feedback. #mtg #proxy #magicthegathering #tcg

Fucking BUMMER that @magic.wizards.com is only putting these in the wildly overpriced collector boosters and not in the precon. That would've been so dope.

While I'm 50/50 on the UB sets I do like some of the cards and this is one of the #TMNT cards that I'm looking forward to and plan to build a ninja deck around. So, for fun, I made some alters (the set art is...not the greatest). #mtg

Stumbled across Szass today for some reason and got inspired. Made some fun reskins and an original and discovered some cool artists (they're credited on the cards so check them out!)

Wizards of the Coast has confirmed that it doesn't "currently" have plans to visit any magical schools besides its own Strixhaven in future sets, suggesting that a Harry Potter collaboration isn't in the cards for the moment. bit.ly/3MwXp1Q

I'm gonna go ahead and say this *feels* like veiled DHS compliance because I literally reported someone from a shared Magic server DMd me and asked if I wanted to exchange "illegal content" and they still have an account. Like fully reported. This is someone still online as we speak.

So I'm not participating in the @mtgsecretlair.com drop today cuz I'm busy and not that ignited about it but on principle I want to invite @magic.wizards.com to do better about how they've begun to run these drops with the forced scarcity. It's robbed it of joy and made it toxic.

Just looking at the server for one of my LGS and while this is from months ago and I KNOW LGS need to find a way to stay afloat, seeing this kind of price gouging is pretty distasteful. A sentiment only intensified by the hindsight. #mtg #lgs

Nothing worse then getting your whole life together to head to the grocery store so you can cook and they don't have half of what you need.

aNasstyWoman @anasstywoman.bsky.social · 26/01/2026

You're right. It DOES feel predatory. Like, how do you know how many you're going to have already??? 254? 83? Yeah, no, and MSRP is $99. #mtg

aNasstyWoman @anasstywoman.bsky.social · 26/01/2026

So realistically, what can we, as consumers, aside from abstaining from the product, do to let #WotC know about the problematic pricing of things like collector boosters and the resultant watering down of things like play boosters and precon perks and prerelease boxes? #mtg @magic.wizards.com

Soooo....after having cracked my box of Lorwyn Eclipsed play boosters I'm gonna have to agree with the growing sentiment that the play boosters are being watered down in favor of the collector boosters and it's kind of unfortunate. I've bought 3 collector boosters so far and liked them but...

These internet 🚬s are so bored. We're both on this proxy request server and he complained about his very valid staple card request being downvoted in favor of "insert horny anime girl print". So I reached out to express allyship and instead of taking it as it is came back to make it weird/shitty. 😂

Man Lorwyn Eclipsed pre-release was a lot. Played Golgari elves and got wrecked three games in a row by goblins. Then the shop didn't even give out a pack for playing like every other pre-release I've ever been to. Got some nice pulls in the packs I bought beforehand though. #mtg

I fixed my mistake from before with the creature tokens. Now you can split your boys into two creatures! Add some more merfolk and give their watery undead corpses Islsndwalk or use On Wings of Gold to get them flying!

Barring some very specific circumstances I'm not sure why anyone who plays #MagictheGathering and has a Steam-capable PC wouldn't invest in Tabletop Simulator. Best experience next to playing IRL with the benefit of being able to test literally any deck build imaginable before investing in paper.

It's wild to me how comfortable we still are, societally speaking, with shitty tropes and attitudes toward fat people. I think collectively, among rational, thinking people, we've started to move away from racism, ableism, etc. in our media and are at least calling it out when it comes up
