I’m looking for the opposite of that: actual curiosity, spontaneous conversation, disagreement without performance, and people being themselves without constantly optimizing for an audience.

I miss that kind of interaction. Twitter and LinkedIn increasingly feel like places where everyone is trying to be heard and almost nobody is listening. Engagement becomes transactional: I support you so you’ll support me; I respond so I’ll be seen responding.

I want to connect with people who use this platform organically: people who share things because they genuinely want to, respond because something actually interested them, and are curious about what other people have to say. Basically, who still know how to talk to other people on the internet.

All communities on X are full of this crap where the mods keeps abusing their power and pinning their own crappy content to the top. I was hoping things would be slightly better on Bsky but then I realised a lot of the same people are doing the same shit here.

If there were more than 24 hours in a day, I would: - study quantum computing. - make Neapolitan pizza. - train martial arts. - produce music. - write more.

Sadly they all think that hating BlueSky makes them cool.

Even if you’re not typing every line, training the models, or inventing all the wheels, you’re still shaping systems, combining concepts, setting constraints, and ensuring outcomes. AI is the camera. You’re the photographer. You're still an artist. You're just not painting anymore.

Photographers are considered artists even though they don’t paint the picture, don’t create the subject, and didn’t invent the camera. They’re valued for framing, lighting, timing, and taste. If they know what they want, they can make the camera capture it. Programming is the same.

Curiouser and curiouser! How do you incorporate Figma and Webflow into this?

Could be marketed as a modern, minimalistic window manager for builders. Does it currently support Linux at all?

So it's like a tabbed tiling compositor with it's own native browser, terminal and editor?

I've been writing something related to social media, and the more I work on it, the more I'm convinced that BlueSky is currently the best platform and it's not even close. Twitter/X will probably shadownban me for praising BlueSky in a tweet 😆

Looks interesting. And so does Co(Lab)! I wish the website had screenshots though. I'm curious to see what the UI looks like but I'm too sleepy to set it up.

At this point, I think I need a now page on my website just so I myself can keep track of all the things I'm supposed to be doing.

I signed up and took a look. I think the "new idea" form is a little overwhelming and intimidating. Maybe you can start with a freeform input where the user can concisely describe their idea. Then you can intelligently prefill this form and the user can then just make changes?

I also remember noticing that the theme actually used to add certain functionality and was more than just a reskin. However, I can't quite remember what said features were.

I also remember that the theme used to change the experience so drastically that some effects were permanent and nothing but a reinstall could fix it.

When I was young, I actually used to install an IE8 theme on what was either Firefox or Opera or both.

Why choose Mastodon over BlueSky? We could use an account like yours to make this place better.

Seems to be a lazy day for my whole city. I woke up after 10 when I usually am already eating breakfast by 7-9. Reached the gym around 1230 as opposed to the usual 8-10 and turns out that my friends who arrive around 12 are yet to reach. Also, the gym is so empty today there's like 4 people.

No, It was much simpler. A kind of acceptance. I still have regrets, but for a moment there, I felt better. Maybe I have healed by a tiny, insignificant amount. Yes, I ended up skipping leg-day once again but this time I had a good reason. Perhaps, the only correct reason.

Today was leg day. But after 3 sets of squats, the teenager sharing the squat rack with me asked me for advice. He told me he's an A-Level student, inclined towards a business degree, at my alma mater, and that he took a gap year for exposure. That's what college is about, I said, especially [↓]

Today, I can finally afford to buy actual figures and I own a couple of knockoff Optimus Primals (Original form and Transmetal 2), one Yolopark Primal from the recent movie and a handful of McDonald's transformers x Toy story figures. Apologies for bombarding your post I just got excited hehe.

Pakistani driver logic - Drive dangerously fast in residential areas, car parks and anyplace walkable - Drive slower than walking on roads. Bonus points for braking to a halt in the fast lane. If we switched overnight to left-hand drive, no one will notice and everyone would be more correct.
