I think this will be one of the defining images of the Premier League's void years: a proudly working class fanbase celebrating that the ruling family of an oppressive regime had hired a barrister on £10,000-an-hour to try and prevent them suffering consequences for their cheating. Embarrassing.

analytic.football is now using Opta data as the xG input, as the last bastion of only-cheaply-paywalled Statsbomb xG seems to be gone It meant a full retune, and the finishing module got a couple of upgrades (handling conditionality of rebounds better). New ratings on the left.

And hey look, I don't know how FPL will implement it how well, but if there is better presentation / more features / whatever on LiveFPL then enthusiasts will still go there. Don't know if FPL are gonna show top10k EO, for example. Site will get way less traffic but you can still keep your hobby up

In the end I think this outcome is the only good payoff right? If you make something that people want so bad of course FPL would be wise to integrate it into the game eventually. You get to be known as the guy that made it all happen, not keep the site going forever. Alternative is it falls flat
