Prof. Anamik Saha giving a keynote on how diversity became hegemonic and how that hegemony so easily began to collapse. Covers the push for more representation and hiring in the 2010s. Really appreciate seeing this period put into context as hegemony. #MeCCSA2026 @deptmedialeic.bsky.social

I think Colbert has been using music in one of the most personal ways to engage with art, which is to allow it to reflect back your own feelings in a way that clarifies them. Your circumstances are new, but—in this case—your defiant frustration mixed with exuberance is legible to other people.

There was also a decent COVID arc in The Good Fight and a whole season of Grey's Anatomy. I found the GA season nearly unwatchable (for various reasons) but they absolutely took on COVID and what it did to hospitals and medical workers.

The most horrifying part of this is buried at the end. Like half the “citations” are just slapped on to give a false veneer of credibility.
The improvement between Gemini 2 and Gemini 3 may be papering over a more serious flaw. In the Oumi analysis, Gemini 2 provided answers that were
"ungrounded" 37 percent of the time, meaning the Al Overviews cited websites that didn't support the information they provided. But with Gemini 3, this jumped to 56 percent. On top of suggesting that the Al is pulling facts out of thin air, ungrounded responses make it difficult for users to verify the Al's claims.

After Congress yanks $1.1B from CPB, a one-page site starts saving stations - Editor and Publisher
When lawmakers rescinded $1.1 billion in public media funding, hundreds of local NPR/PBS outlets — especially rural and Indigenous stations — were pushed to the brink. Enter Adopt-A-Station, a simple dashboard that spotlights the most at-risk outlets and turns clicks into gifts; in its first month, it drew 40,000 visitors and funneled donors directly to stations like KTNA in Alaska — proof that a lean tool can move real money, fast.
