@gwr.com I just love the assurance of having a seat reservation and the comfort of travelling my train. No really, it’s absolutely great stuff.

First day back in the office today following a really challenging couple of weeks on a personal level, and on my desk I find a bottle of wine, a packet of Flipz, some biscuits and a little note. Such a lovely surprise and it made my day! Also Flipz should be illegal IMO - they are too delicious.

We’ve escaped to the Forest of Dean for a couple of nights and visited the wonderful Severn and Wye Smokery en route. This was a ‘small plate’ of mussels 😍 Highly recommend if you’re passing - the scallops were also amazing 🤩

Another lovely weekend has come to an end. Friday night: cocktails in a Bristol speakeasy (remortgage incoming 😬); Saturday: stayed in a house with a wall that looked like a bookshelf but that opens to reveal a toilet; Sunday: peacocks on the loose, trip to a farm shop and a delicious lamb dinner 😍

One BIG thing I’ve learned in counseling school - we need nature for our mental health. This English study is just 1 of many that highlights how time outside (sans screen) helps w/stress, anxiety, depression, focus, attention, & general mood. So GO OUTSIDE! Parks & backyards count.
Feet in hiking boots walking through a forest. Text reads “Nature Prescriptions Boost Happiness and reduce anxiety. Over 8,000 people across England took part in Green Social Prescribing, connecting them to nature-based activities like gardening and conservation. The study found that participants’ happiness scores improved, highlighting the positive impact of nature on mental health and wellbeing.”
