The film is written, directed, and co-stars Hitoshi Ozawa, a legendary Yakuza actor who is a villain in Yakuza 0, who got his fellow legends involved. This was his passion project inspired by one of his best friends, a trans woman, and he worked with the community for representative casting.

Daily Medium-Rare Take #5: Conceptually, the idea of "owning" land is ridiculous. A house will, hopefully, be there long after you, and shared by many people. The only purpose that dividing land has, is to create false competition between other people. Property lines are B.S. and so are borders.

The framing of it as "medium-rare" is that it's disagreed with by more people than I would like. It isn't a hot take, because it isn't new. The suffering has been happening for decades. It isn't intended as mild in the sense of being dismissive. I want it to be something that more people agree with.

No I appreciate open discussion about these things! That's like, half the reason I do these. IMHO, any large scale project should be on a volunteer basis. If all needs are met (food, medicine, etc) people will still want to do things. People do dumb shit in video games for prizes, why not that?
