the difference between "can't reciprocate" & "doesn't reciprocate" lies in the ability vs the choice to return feelings/actions. "can't" implies inability due to emotional unavailability, trauma, or external circumstances. This is of course unrelated to anything currently going on. #DestielisCanon

The difference between "can't reciprocate" and "doesn't reciprocate" lies in the ability versus the choice to return feelings or actions. "Can't" implies an inability due to emotional unavailability, trauma, or external circumstances, whereas "doesn't" implies they simply choose not to, often due to a lack of interest.

Can't Reciprocate

The Reason: They may want to return your feelings or effort, but they are internally blocked. The Root: Often stems from emotional immaturity, past trauma, existing commitments, or mental health struggles (e.g., they are too overwhelmed with their own life to give you the energy you deserve).

Doesn't Reciprocate

The Reason: They simply do not feel the same way or choose not to make the effort to match your energy. The Root: Often indicates a fundamental incompatibility, a lack of romantic interest, or self-centered behavior where they are comfortable taking without giving.

Of all the actual medical diagnostic testing I've been through, nothing has been this accurate, ever. I took the German or Autistic diagnostic. Result: Both. The Wittgenstein Result. german.millermanschool.com

Your Result
Both
The Wittgenstein Result
German 42%
Autistic 42%
Scores are independent — they don't need to add up to 100%.
Wittgenstein was Austrian, which is close enough. He was also, by most accounts, someone whose relationship to social convention was at best functional and at worst a source of significant suffering to himself and everyone around him.

He rewrote philosophy twice. The first time by establishing what could be said with precision. The second time by dismantling the assumption that precision was the right goal in the first place. Both versions emerged from the same source: an absolute refusal to accept confusion as a resting state.

You have, apparently, both the cultural formation that produces systematic people and the neurological substrate that makes systematic thinking feel like breathing. This is either a significant advantage or an explanation for certain recurring difficulties in your life. Probably both.

Schopenhauer also fits here. So does Ramanujan, though he wasn't German. The category isn't German or autistic — it's people for whom the gap between how things are and how they ought to be is not an abstraction but a constant, low-grade irritation.

New chapter! archiveofourown.org/works/65911792 Featuring an impromptu closet rendezvous, boring council sessions, and Dean being a tease! "Dean feels mead-drunk as he chases the taste of Castiel, mouthing along his jaw and shivering at the way it makes his prince whimper." #destiel #fic 💚⚔️💙

hunkering down to edit/update/(finish???) Soldier, Poet, King and adding some little bits and pieces as I go. I love the snippet feature on @ellipsus.com, it makes these cute little shareable imgs right in the tool! archiveofourown.org/works/65911792 #destiel 💚💙 #spn #wip #medieval ⚔️🏰🐴 #fanfic 📖

blue green gradient background with snippet from WIP "Soldier, Poet, King": There’s almost nothing but wide open fields between the city’s edge and his mother’s home, and between the fresh summer air in his face and the sound of Baby’s hooves rhythmically thumping the packed-dirt road as they ride, he feels half put to rights before he even arrives. Being cooped up in the castle as often as he is, Dean sometimes forgets how much he enjoys the stretch of an open road before him, nothing in the world but him and his steed.

Happy New Year! I turned this little thing into a far too long NYE ficlet, please enjoy! Hello, Stranger archiveofourown.org/works/76888491 Modern AU, New Year's Eve kiss, 7.5k words, rated T #destiel #fanfic #promptfill

kissed a ridiculously attractive dude at the bar last night. he asked for my number but i said no because my life is literally in shambles. then this morning i walk into my sister's kitchen and he's just... there. drinking coffee like he owns the place. apparently he's my brother-in-law's friend. i told him the kiss wasn't happening again and he just smiled like, "we'll see."

from a (modern AU) work I quite frankly can't wait to post, a little slice of Mary embarrassing the hell out of Dean and Cas loving every second of it. #destiel #fic #writing #wipsnips

snippet of work in progress:

“So how long have you been dating?” Mary drops the question between them and it snaps Castiel back to attention like a rubber band, yanking him from his absent-minded observation of the room.

Dean’s knife clatters to the counter at the same time, his eyes widening and his mouth opening and closing a few times before he manages to speak. “Mom! It’s not—we’re not—it’s not like that, okay?”

Mary puts her hands up, palms facing outward. “Okay, okay! My bad!” Her tone is apologetic but Castiel can see her expression is amused.

She turns to him, ignoring Dean’s continued sputtering. “I’m sorry, Castiel, I didn’t mean to assume anything.” He has honestly no idea what to say so he just smiles and gives a little shrug, taking another sip of his water to cover his lack of words. She leans closer over the counter and drops her voice as though pretending to whisper. “It’s just that you’re exactly Dean’s type, so—”

“Jesus, Mom!” Dean groans, his face an impressive shade of red.

Okay so aside from whatever I did with my arms here, I genuinely love this?? 🩷 SO glad because I lowkey hated the ones from my first con 😅 Also the whole time I was in there, THEE Motown song (you know, the one Jensen serenaded Misha with at Novi?) was playing on repeat. 💚💙

Talking to my dad today about that time he was in LA for business and got blocked crossing a street bc some new show called #Countdown was filming. Turns out he was trying to leave the building behind this scene. He could see the fake postal truck and the bomb squad actors/dog from his window! 😳🤩
