some thumbnail process. I like to thumb comics in storyboard pro, a workflow i dont recommend for anybody who doesnt already spend all their life in that program. i do it because the infinite canvas makes VP finding a breeze but honestly i do it because i feel comfortable to explore there

for completion’s sake, here’s the key illos in the pitch too which you’ve seen already, but now they can be all together. There’s also design materials which aren’t quite as eye-catching do we use hashtags on here? #comics

so i’ve posted CLUTCH stuff piecemeal over the last year, but here’s the sum total of the example pages for the pitch. for comprehension’s sake: pgs 1 and 2 are sequential, 3-8 are sequential, and 9-10 are sequential, done this way so as to give an overview of various vibes in the book.

I got to get my grubby claws on every episode of Dang! while doing revisions, but perhaps my crowning moment was adding this insert shot of Eddie Being Hot. it was such an up-my-alley assignment that it was like they were making fun of me. boards by Michelle Hao, whose work was a dream to revise

This is a funny thing to post about in August, but while cleaning my office I found a handful of my 2024 holiday cards. if you would like a holiday card in the summer, hit my DMs with your address. Mutuals only please! I like to write msgs on these and knowing who it’s going to is helpful

Javi knew my main interests include hot guys who are kind of bloody, so he set aside a primo shot for me to do clean up for. congrats on the movie launch!

a quick warmdown Woe from the other day. he’s coming out somewhat less smoldery than i’d originally imagined, so this is probably closer to his general vibe

i’ve been very busy with work and my free drawing time has dropped to almost nothing, but d&d-wise, my special boy hooked up with a hot dragonborn, invented a couple new personas, and died once

not one of my favorite sessions drawing quality-wise, but our model at the Tom of Finland House was excellent, and best of all i had a good excuse to see @coelasquid.bsky.social :)

today is my birthday! i originally made this silly little video because turning 35 feels like a Big Age, but it beats the alternative. my last year was a rough and complicated one, so I hope I can do a bit better this time around. thanks to all the pals who got me through it :)

wanted to thumb out the Fair Wear Boys before leaving my cintiq for the night. this would be Woe telling his friends a story, as bards will do (l - r samson, barrens, alwyn, woe, ozrik, hau)

apparently years ago i had begun to rework this piece and then promptly forgot about it again, only to rediscover it this morning years later, im not sure which i prefer! i think this second version gels better, but the purple makes Rook’s green really pop

friends who have to endure the sheer volume of seal videos i send to the unfortunates close enough to me to receive them know: the best part about san francisco was seeing sea lions so close-up

as a brief aside from the screaming horrors of my country, i did have the great opportunity to see Zoro in real life in San Francisco. one piece is a major reason why i chose the path i’m on today as a kid. it was a little emotional to see Oda’s originals in the flesh.

been sort of off social media because ive had CLUTCH pages to lock into. still have a ways to go, but i’m happy with the progress. i hope people like the pitch and pay me to make the book :^)
