Babe wake up, they're doing a new Peruvian internet cafes in the post-widely-available-internet era.
Once subscribers use their included hours, they will be able to purchase additional cloud playtime through the XBOX Store. Available hours, purchasing options, and cloud gaming features may vary by market. We’ll share pricing and further details before the changes take effect.

I feel this deeply. I made a behavior-programming-discipline specific starter kit here in Bsky cause I really feel this discipline is extremely important. But I can't call it "AI development" anymore because folks understand something different when I say that. And that fucking sucks - they took it.
A quote from Tarn Adams that reads:

"It's been going on forever. That was before AI—or this form of AI," Adams says, before lamenting: "They took the letters from me! I have to talk about dwarf behavior now. I can't even talk about dwarf AI. It doesn't exist. It's dwarf behavior, and they misbehave sometimes."

Contrast the exact same effect but as represented by white mana. While both cards functionally and mechanically do the same thing, they communicate the philosophy of their color identity through their aesthetics and it helps reinforce that as game design. 5/
An image of the Magic the Gathering card Resurrection. The rules text reads: "Return target creature from your graveyard to the battlefield".

The art depicts a knight clad in armor in a narrow spiraling staircase, with more of these structures visible in a background of bleak, grey nothingness. The knight is enveloped by a light so powerful it is destroying the structure around them. Their face is turned towards the light, as if it provides them with a warmth this landscape cannot offer and the movement of their clothes and hair indicates the light is lifting them out of the darkness.

You can still have a card like Zombify exist mechanically in a card game - hell you can even call it that and its mechanics will likely be understandable by virtue of the name. But they way the art in this depiction by Engle explicitly shows the card in action makes reading it a formality. 4/
Image of an MTG card called Zombify. The rules text reads: "Return target creature from your graveyard to the battlefield".

The art showcases a bird-person, clad in armor and skewered by multiple arrows, rising from a heap of dead bodies in a smoldering battlefield, mouth agape. We can't discern whether it is screaming or gasping for air.

Minimum requirements to qualify for political astuteness: Noticing there is a problem then offering a solution. Mamdani truly is a devious schemer.

I like how the goose ominously appears in this slide transition without mention. I find it to be like a prog song, where a riff is building in the background, ready to become the main melody after a few bars.

Bro, how do you cool data centers in space? It's a vacuum - there is no convection or conduction; only radiation. I don't give a shit about the robots or construction costs - how do you - physically - dissipate the enormous heat created by vast arrays of GPUs processing dumbass queries?

Like, concretely, these are exercises you absolutely should be applying to your designs. Walk through them, think about what people are likely to do with them and how you can nudge them in the direction you want. Do you change rules? Mechanics? Layouts, lighting, wording, camera angles, you name it

How it started How it's going Gonna start working on shading soon #pixelart #gamedev #indie
Early blockout of the title screen of a game I'm working on. It's an isometric perspective of a crossing in Lima, Peru. Two microbusses and a combi are waiting by street lights that don't really make any sense. Buildings are unfinished but generally placed in the scene.Colored and developed image of the title screen for a game I'm working on. It's an image of a busy street crossing in Lima, where public transport absolutely chokes the way. Buildings are more fleshed out, more businesses are clearly indicated but all colors are flat and shading is still in the works.

Wouldn't be a game with buses if we don't add a nice, beefy honk. Sound on! Gotta love how much flexibility VCV Rack gives you for making sound effects.

There is a function called the Witch of Agnesi. To be clear, the witch isn't its original author, Maria Gaetana Agnesi. The witch is the function itself. It is illustrated below. I think the idea that mathematical plots being considered bewitched or somehow blasphemous is cool as hell.

While true, green's worldview also contemplates "progress" as passing ephemera. That time as an ocean is far deeper than any visible island of identifiable history, and that the vast sea between those islands is defined by the natural cycle.

Eduardo Escudero @amonjerro.bsky.social · 31/03/2026
No past, no future. Only the now. This has been publicly admitted, at least once, though through an appeal to history with 0 evidence to support it. Because evidence requires looking at the past - and there's no time for that.

Is this maybe the wildest possible urinal config? Absolutely blessed view. Absolutely cursed layout.
A urinal at a bar in peru. On the far end a window shows a perfect view of the ocean and users of the farthestmost urinals have an unbelievable view of the setting sun over the ocean. However, the price to pay is the absolute cheek-to-cheek situation

Generated Dune poster that contains the following copy-pasta:

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I'm the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You're fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You're fucking dead, kiddo.

I'm not huge on vibe coding. I get the appeal though. But I feel this article by Wired on COBOL's legacy echoes what I feel we will be saying about vibe coding in the future. I can easily replace COBOL here with "programming" in general with regards to vibe coding. www.wired.com/story/cobol-...
Jean Sammet, one of the original designers, saw it differently—the language simply had the complicated task of representing complicated things, like social security. Or as another defender wrote, “Regrettably, there are too many such business application programs written by programmers that have never had the benefit of structured COBOL taught well.” Good COBOL was indeed self-documenting, but so much depended on the specific programmer. Fred Gruenberger, a mathematician with the Rand Corporation, put it this way: “COBOL, in the hands of a master, is a beautiful tool—a very powerful tool. COBOL, as it’s going to be handled by a low-grade clerk somewhere, will be a miserable mess.”

A bit of advice: if you're condemning a group for their rightly condemnable actions maybe don't add the clause "omg you guys, you're making it so hard to benefit from the thing I really want" if you want to appear sincere at all. But kudos for being so transparent, ig.
Madel, an attorney, also argued that "the national Republicans have made it nearly impossible for a Republican to win a statewide election in Minnesota".

His decision to drop out of the race marks some of the most pointed GOP backlash yet to Republican's handling of the killing of Alex Pretti by a Border Patrol agent

Love it when a Wikipedia warning matches the real-life situation. Why, yes, my beloved country's political crisis has indeed gone on too long and can't be navigated comfortably.
Screen shot of the title to the Wikipedia article on the ongoing Peruvian political crisis. It shows a warning for editors that reads "this article may be too long to read and navigate comfortably", which is very ironic, all things considered.

What the architecture for my turn-based combat system is feeling like. I started trying to make sure systems were extensible, sober and with clear responsibilities and at this stage it's becoming more and more "yeah, fuck it, I'll couple these 4 classes together"
Picture showing a hand-drawn horse. The hind portion is drawn in great detail, mimicking closely the form of a real horse. The drawing's quality decreases quickly towards the front portion of the horse, until it resembles a child's drawing.

Imagine boasting your solution is barely over 50% accurate, for software that is used for absolutely core business functions. Tech bros did, indeed, spend billions upon billions of dollars to make a calculator that doesn't work and want us to be impressed by it.

Excel is not some mystical tool that only the hyper-trained know how to use. If you don't know how to model something in Excel is probably because you don't know how to model it in general and this doesn't fix that issue. If anything, this features makes Excel _more_ of a black box.

Talking with Dani, we were trying to remember what came first in the book of Genesis and she goes: "nah, dude, he modeled the scene first then did the lighting. God's Blender tutorial." Best analogy I've ever heard.
Genesis 1:3

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light
