amoebae @amoebae.bsky.social · 27/02/2026I try not to get too excited these days. 2016-2019 pretty much killed that off. But still, 100% pessimism and cynicism is a soul destroyer, so I allow myself a glimmer, from time to time. 110

Reposted by amoebaeMarty's Mods @martysmods.bsky.social · 11/02/2026One major new feature is the progressive rendering mode. Instead of deciding on a fixed number of samples and hoping it’s enough, you can keep rendering until you’re happy with the quality. And you can pause and resume rendering whenever you want. 162

Reposted by amoebaeMarty's Mods @martysmods.bsky.social · 31/01/2026COMING UP! We'll be covering TWO imminent Depth of Field shaders, er, in depth! The 1st we've already teased: an addon DoF that utilises the camera tools by @fransbouma.com; the 2nd is a rewrite of iMMERSE DoF, making it the most advanced of its type. Keep watching! #VirtualPhotography 2173
amoebae @amoebae.bsky.social · 31/01/2026Same. And it is young. My mum died 18 months ago when she was 73 and that was far too soon. My grandmothers both lived into their 90s. That's 20 years shaved off life. It's so cruel. 020
amoebae @amoebae.bsky.social · 30/01/2026It’s devastating. Don’t know why but it’s made me cry. What a woman. 100

amoebae @amoebae.bsky.social · 30/01/2026Everything is set up to make things as difficult as possible, in the hope that at least some people will just give up. Same with PIP etc assessments. So many claims denied that are eventually overturned on appeal, but how many never appeal because of how tiring it is? 000

amoebae @amoebae.bsky.social · 22/01/2026That's very kind of you to say ❤️ I do definitely lack the experience though, and for that salary (which is high for the UK) they'd not be expecting someone for whom it would be a first real role like this. Plus I'd have to commute and I hate doing that lol 210
