It's that time of year again... Spending our mornings under the sun lamp. It's a winter ritual that has become immensely important since moving to the North East. We're on day 2 this year. I'm enjoying hanging in the 70s room for it.

We had a great day trip to Boston with the help of this thread. We also have several more places we are planning for future day trips to visit. Yesterday we enjoyed Elephants on the Commons, the Victory Garden in the Fens, and MFA Boston. Thanks to everyone for all the recommendations!

The McFluffington Pups are trying out a brand new dog daycare today. They were excited, we're nervous about Magnus' first time since his spinal injury away from us. I'm sure they will be fine, exhausted, and have a bunch of new friends when we pick them up.

Today, Magnus McFluffington turns 14. We had a great weekend celebrating our old man pup. Saturday he got to trek into the woods at Lincoln Woods State Park. Sunday he enjoyed Dogapalooza at Slater Park, where we found a few bags of local homemade treats. Happy 14th birthday! Here's to 14+ more!

Magnus is enjoying his 14th birthday weekend! This morning we took a walk at Lincoln State Park. Cirrus & Daniel explored some side trails while he rested in his wagon. He walked 1¼ miles today in the woods and he got an all clear wellness visit earlier this week. He's our healthy senior man.

This weekend we had the privilege of watching 2 amazing people marry themselves in Philadelphia. Kyle has been our friend for 20ish years, almost as long as we've known each other. We're so happy he found his perfect match in Lizzy. I've never been in a crowd of people with so much love for 2 people

We walked the walls mostly alone in March one year. We wandered the palace in Split with our dogs when it was empty in early spring & winter. It's quiet and perfect in autumn, winter and spring. Croatia was a magical place to live.

If you know me, it's no secret I love teal, and most blues. We picked colors for our new house based on a wallpaper we picked for our pop walls. We keep moving things in that match crazy well. Our yard chairs and our welcome mats match. Nothing matches as well as what I'm calling my camo mixer.

A small, bright newly remodeled kitchen. The walls are teal. The lower cabinets are grey. Instead of top cabinets there are mostly empty wood shelves with black cast iron brackets. The countertop is natural color butcher block. The floors are white tile. Their is a white subway tile backsplash. Their is wooden pendent light hanging over the sink, in front of the window. There is a round light fixture in the center of the room.

On the left bottom shelf there is a stand mixer. It blends into the wall because it's the same color.

Even closer than the last image. The colors match almost perfectly.

A sample of the wallpaper the color was chosen from. The wallpaper is being held up next to the two colors of paint pulled from it.

In a corner one wall is teal and one is sand. The wallpaper is a version of Almond Blossoms by van Gogh with an altered background to be more teal than the original.

For an idea of what we've been up to since February, we're nearly done remodeling our new house. The painter finished today, so we're nearly done. The kitchen is getting open shelving that we're installing soon. We're so excited for our new home!

Here's a little throwback today. This is very early in our relationship. We had moved in as roommates after leaving very unhealthy marriages. We did not remain in our own rooms long. We've barely left each other's sides since. We've traveled the world. We are so lucky to have found each other.

We're in the Japanese Garden in Roger Williams Park in Providence, Rhode Island. In front of us is a brick pathway curving through grass muted with fallen leaves. At the turn to the left is a Japanese Pagoda sculpture just peaking over the green bushes.
The sky is full of colors from the trees that fill the entire top of the photo. Directly above the Pagoda is a giant bright yellow ginko tree (80'), one of Roger Williams Parks Notable Trees. A view in Roger Williams Park in Providence Rhode Island. You're looking down a path that goes along the waters edge of Roosevelt Lake. The ground is covered in fresh crispy autumn leaves. To each side are large trees with their dark orange and burgundy leaves preparing to float down with their fallen comrades. The focus of the photo is across the water. The Bandstand, a structure with 12 Corinthian columns support a 30-foot diameter dome roof. Rebuilt in 1915 it's been the parks center for music since 1901. Breaking up it's reflection in the water is a large floating fountain in the middle of the lake. It gives the reflection interest between the reflection of autumn colors and the white of the Bandstand.
