Shoutout to e.l.f. cosmetics because this is 45 year old me on 3.5 hours of sleep on a Wednesday

Selfie where I somehow look alert and have no under eye bags?

Personal life not doing anything to dispel the rumor that men are trash.

That is one area where this district has been outstanding from my first year up to now. Family comes first, staffing is not the teacher’s problem, we help each other out with assessments, and we cover each others’ deadlines when we’re out on leave.

Anyway, I told my husband to start calling me Magneto 🧲🧠

I also let the admin who is evaluating me this year know that I was considering the IOP. His first question was about what accommodations, if any, I’d want for the evaluation process 🥹 I am never leaving this district lol

Anyone interested in an update? I now have referrals for Intensive Outpatient Program as well as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. Should get a call tomorrow for IOP and by end of week for TMS This will put me off work for 3 weeks 😭😱

In honor of the feast day…. Who should you call on to pray for you if you need to copy your boss onto a contentious email? St. Francis of a CC

Today’s ok. Feeling kinda shitty about a friend ghosting me this week, but they’re going through their own stuff right now

110

Anne 🕊️ 🎵🧶🏃🏻‍♀️🥖🐈 @amlaffertydelgado.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Welp. They’re going to ask the psychiatrist to call me tomorrow. So. Hanging in until then. Probably going to get that call at work so that’ll be fun

Anne 🕊️ 🎵🧶🏃🏻‍♀️🥖🐈 @amlaffertydelgado.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Not really. I think I’ll have to figure out calling the mental health line

210

Anne 🕊️ 🎵🧶🏃🏻‍♀️🥖🐈 @amlaffertydelgado.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I just looked again on the app and it said they could take up to 3 business days to return messages. I know in the past I’ve been told to call the number for a faster response but I just can’t talk on the phone right now.

Anne 🕊️ 🎵🧶🏃🏻‍♀️🥖🐈 @amlaffertydelgado.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Kind of feeling like all of my mental health supports were illusions.

120

Anne 🕊️ 🎵🧶🏃🏻‍♀️🥖🐈 @amlaffertydelgado.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

So like, I emailed my psychiatrist that my meds not only are not working, but I’ve been having increasing thoughts of self-deleting and undesired side effects from the meds. How many days should I wait for a response before I follow it up with another message? It’s been 2 now

I keep meaning to check those out, and especially to see what the Creative Arts Group has to offer

In the last few weeks we’ve (I’ve) gotten: PCP visit Labs Dental cleaning Mammogram Flu shot But also lost my therapist. Overall feels like checking off all the correct boxes but then stepping into quicksand.

I’m as well as can be, given the state of everything. Hope you’re well, too

But it’s really important for them that they find the exception to your statement (which does not exist, to be clear)

EXTREMELY gratified that my pro-Padres ribbing up here in Dodgers country has survived the summer and former students are STILL coming up to me to either gloat or high five

This is the only social media place I feel reasonably certain people I know in real life don’t see me. It’s therefore my most authentic place because I don’t want them to worry lmao

I turned my sister into an Aparna Nancherla fan when I took her to a stand up show in Sierra Madre. She’s great!

Anywho he said she said who could ever know, so he can go have his best life and I can be forever traumatized for decades or probably a lifetime after. As one does.

What’s super cool about all of that is that after he raped me and I reported it to the police, he started showing up at my job randomly when he’d never been there before. The (mostly useless) detectives had to go tell him that it wasn’t a great look to get him to stop.

I wish I could forget his name and thus never find updates like that ever again. ALAS it is seared in there. Forever.

Also yes I’m still here. Had some preventive healthcare today, so I’m still working on staying here. I’m just, like…this week got a whole lot harder with all the takes around Cornell. Life is a lot these days. I’d like a hiatus.

My other favorite is having them act out trench warfare to illustrate how it caused a stalemate on the western front.

Listening to today’s BTB with @iwriteok.bsky.social and reminded of one of my favorite world history teacher activity: putting the students on team Germany or team Russia, handing them the Willy-Nicky telegrams, and then asking them who was more responsible for WWI. It can get heated lol

And that’s a wrap. I had a special bonus on the way back to my car. Meet my new BFF, Pluto. That’s what the collar said, anyway. We spent several minutes together in a little lovefest
