Claude helped them with stolen copyrighted work and waste resources. There's no justified use case for gen AI and people need to get it in their heads instead of proclaiming, "it COULD cure cancer." It can't. All it can do is use stolen research from experts and put in simpler text for lay people

I was reorganizing my site's photo gallery and came across a pic. Seeing him, I looked him up on a whim having heard he was a weirdo. Then randomly learned the guy in question, ex MMA fighter Phil Baroni, with whom I did a photo shoot back in 2019, is in jail in Mexico for murdering his girlfriend!

Absolutely gross how more and more platforms insert it. With youtube, it auto defaults to allow AI things like summaries, other people remixing your content, etc. You have to manually opt out and there's no default I can find to prevent it. AT LEAST it works in bulk to opt out. With Meta, I could
