Finally playing Donkey Kong 64 on Switch and I gotta say, even after a few decades this game still gets a perfect 5/5 on the “Oh Banana” meter

Whipped up one of those 9 Games that Shaped Who I Am lists; fun to think about games that led to friendships and communities as opposed to just a normal "these are my favorite games" list, although it still hurt to only include two Donkey Kong games on here

The Nine Games that Shaped Who I Am: Donkey Kong 64, Banjo-Kazooie, RuneScape, Kirby Air Ride, Paper Mario, Pokemon Sapphire Version, Donkey Kong Barrel Blast, Pikmin 2, and Legends of Runeterra.

The Adult Swim 25th anniversary special was mostly "eh" with some really strange character choices/omissions and some REALLY unfunny jokes but they absolutely nailed the 21/24 scene so I can't be that upset.

For the most part the music in Radiance Layer is just “fine”, it’s a little too lowkey and environmental for my tastes, but I favorited this song anyway because I can’t believe Donkey Kong Bananza has an area called Window Viper in it.

A health bar being a post-game optional unlock that doesn’t actually do anything because you can never drop below one health is one of the funniest things Nintendo has done in a long time.

Whipped up a little Nintendo Music Predictions and/or Wishlist for the rest of the year. It's hard to really "predict" what they'll put on there considering how random some of their choices tend to be but if at the end of the year even half this list is on the app I'll be a very happy camper.
