There's also a (supposed to be) harmless drag scene in the same ending that's ruined by questionable comedy choices in its wording.

'The Boy in the Dress' is one of the only few of his books I've read & as much as I want to commend it for its themes celebrating gender nonconformity, it loses all its goodwill by ending with its villain being revealed as a closeted crossdresser, which results in him being blackmailed by the heroes

This has to be the worst timing for a movie adaptation of a book I've ever seen. There is no way audiences are gonna be subscribing to Sky Cinema to watch a movie based on a book written by a disgraced celebrity starring SAID disgraced celebrity.

David Walliams just the latest in a long line of predatory dangers where the British media have sat on or killed stories that were already open secrets to enable them. All whilst inventing stories to smear minority groups as dangers themselves. An absolutely rotten industry.

Ok, hear me out. It's cheesy, the acting is all over the place & its efforts as a sequel are minimal at best, but 'The Rage: Carrie 2' is a pretty solid horror movie in its own rights thanks to its coverage on sex obsession & bullying that somehow still feels relevant to this day.

Movies deserve to be released in theaters, movies and shows deserve to be released outside of streamers exclusively, and movies and shows deserve to be released on physical media for people to own. They shouldn't be kept locked up in one specific place.

It’s stuff like Lily Orchard’s nonsense here that is a great reminder that you gotta draw the line somewhere where you have to calm down and just say “they’re just movies/shows”. There’s no piece of media worth letting your emotions go out of control and use it to attack people like this.
