In Mario Party, minigame descriptions treat being eliminated merely as being out of the game, except for Bumper Balls, which drastically shifts the tone by stating the winner is the last one left alive. This implies that while other minigames might be for fun, Bumper Balls is to the death.
![In Mario Party, the descriptions for minigames involving characters being hurt or eliminated use neutral language, such as characters being "knocked off" or "poked", and the winner being "the last one standing". However, the tone shifts drastically for Bumper Balls, the Mini-Game Island description of which states that the winner is the "last one alive".

Clear the game by being the last one alive.]
