I loved this book but I'm annoyed I gave my copy to someone else and now want my own. Though I suspect I might give that one to my mum. But at least I can nick it back off her. Plus I love Toms mums lino prints and also references to Bagpuss.

Oh dear, I do feel for you. We had some horrible neighbours who accused us of misdemeanours too, very aggressive. It's very scary isn't it? I hope they sober up. Can you ask other neighbours for support? I don't suppose you are the only ones to have suffered. All the best.

Oh goodness I tried to find the episode where I think he asked to get back with Fallon but I couldn't face listening to them all again! It just seemed very close in my memory to when he told Lily he was serious about her. But maybe I'm wanting to paint him as a baddy! #TheArchers

It is, I've struggled (but tbh I've given up struggling) to not see him as a baddy. I think his very quick change from wanting to get back with Fallon to being serious with Lilly was WAY too fast and v. creepy.

It did make some good points (I'm getting on a bit and see my work options closing down) but there seemed to be this gap in their calculations (eg to get voluntary carers into work they need to be paid more than paid carers in order to afford to pay for the care they are no longer able to provide)

Dementia and Alzheimer's are absolutely devastating not only to the sufferer but for their friends and loves ones as well. Currently if it happens to your parent or partner you're effectively on your own navigating this terrible and often very expensive landscape of care.

My Mum got 2 weeks in hospital, where they pretty much looked after the baby for you, and not cos she'd had a particularly hard birth.
